Finally broke down and bought this for the pre-teen and teenage kids. I had wanted to get it around xmas time but the prices were just too high ($60). Now that it dropped below $35 (on sale) with free shipping, it was hard to pass up. The only down side was it needs quite a bit of base memory and we had the standard xbox 360 config. While trying to make room, we ended up deleting quite a bit of stuff. The xbox then requested a network connection so it could download latest patches so the game could run. So I bought the xbox wifi device and it downloaded everything it needed (you need the network connection anyway to take advantage of xbox live anywya). The game is great and the entire family (and their friends) can play. It also encourages ‘exercise’ which is always a good thing.

I must say being a former Wii owner, I thought that this game wouldn’t be as great as Just Dance 1 and 2 but I have to say its WAY BETTER!!! :). The choreography is a lot more challenging than Just dance which I think is great!!! I also like the fact the game has challenges to do as well that you have to unlock as you play different songs. I think the few negatives that I do have is that you have to unlock every difficulty which each song which to me is kinda time consuming especially if you just wanna play the hardest difficulty (*in DC2 they changed that feature so you don’t have to worry about it if you get the second dance central) another thing is that you can’t play two players at the same time you have to take turns (*again if you have DC2, because you can just download DC to the DC2 format if you have that game ;)). But other than that the game is AWESOME!!! so if your looking for something a little bit more challenging than Just Dance than you will definitely enjoy this!!!

This game is just amazing! It is so much fun, and so much better than similar products for Wii (which I also own and love).I was looking for a fun game that would be something to do on off workout days, so I picked this one up because I love to dance. I love the ease and simplicity of the game. Very easy to learn. I love that the you can break down the moves with flash cards in order to learn the steps, and then put it all together at differing levels of difficulty.Definitely a winner!

I love this game. I first played it at a friend’s house on Christmas day. I had so much fun (and worked up such a good sweat), we ordered the game that night. It was waiting on our doorstep when we returned home from our holiday travels. While I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to get 100% of the moves because the sensor doesn’t seem to pick up every move I make, I don’t really care because I enjoy the music, the moves and the workout. One of our hosts calf muscles were sore for a couple of days after our initial dance battles. Even my 6th grade son, who has expressed zero interest in dancing in the past, has tried this game and seems to enjoy learning dance moves in a pretty safe, humiliation-free environment. I can’t wait until we get our Xbox Live Family Membership so we can do a few long-distance dance battles with our holiday hosts!

I am extrememly happy about this product. It came the very next day that i ordered and the minute it landed we started playing it. There are tracks like Pokerface, Souljaboy, Funkytown to get you in the groove. The dancer look so real. Its total fun for the whole family and gets your heart rate pumping fast. LOVE IT!!!!

Dance Central rocks! It’s fun and will make you laugh. I’m not a good dancer; I dance to my own beat, and can’t tell my right left foot from my left arm! Dance Central makes me laugh! One of the wonderful features is that the game will break the steps down for you – in slow motion. Eventually, you will get the steps! The music is fun and the avatars are cute! I have grandchildren so you know I’m not young – this game is excellent for brain/body movement. The steps make you use your brain to move the right arm with the left leg! Not easy! But with practice you will get it! I recommend Dance Central to all of you who want to do more exercise at home. Dance Central will burn calories and the movements are good for your aging bones and muscles – get off the couch and dance! Invite your friends over and have a dance party!

We own a Wii, PS2, & Xbox. There was no reason to upgrade to xbox 360 until I saw it with the kinect. We bought 4 different kinect games, including dance masters. Dance Central is the most fun game for the xbox 360 kinect & really used the power of the kinect “controller”. The game teaches you the moves on three different levels, then you perform it. This is exercising while having tons of fun & gets the kids off the couch.Update: After playing this game for the last 4 weeks, I’m using it as part of my workout routine instead of running on the treadmill. It’s great & I am having such a great time. I only wish they made it so you can pick a set of songs to workout to so you don’t have to constantly interrupt your routine to pick the songs.

Dance Central is what I started using when I went on my weight loss regime in 2011, I started with it first because I hated workouts and anything that remotely resembled exercise…LOL! Anyway, I used to build up my endurance and was surprised when I started sweating after playing it for awhile, at that point I knew it was helping me get to where I needed to be, within a 6 month period of alternating Dance Central and a few miles of walking I had lost 70 lbs. I love this game because it works so well for entertainment and exercise without feeling like a workout, I hope anyone that gets this game has as much fun and luck as I do. :) The only reason I bought this one was because the other one had scratches and wouldn’t work I was devastated I had to buy it again, and I would buy it again, and again. Enjoy!

Here is the perfect solution to a dull Saturday night and to show off your Kinect! Get some friends and family over, pop this in and get ready to have to force them to leave. My kids wont stop playing it.This game is simply awesome. It will walk you through each dance in sections that you must master. Then it gives you a chance to recap it. Once you’ve done the moves, it’s time to “put it all together”. That’s when you put everything you’ve learned to the test…the song plays and away you go! To the beat to the character and ultimately to your hilarious family and friends laughing at you all the way. That’s OK though…give them their turn, and then laugh right back at them. The only real downside I see with this that the graphics are so cool (glowing red, yellow, purple and various other lights) it would be much better in a dark environment, but of course, the Kinect can’t work in a super dark environment. So, will this get your ready to be backup dancers or take on the ace at the local club? Nope. But it will let you live out your fantasy of being a hip hopper in the privacy of your own home.
