I played this years ago.I loved this game. I wondered about it so i searched and found it for the wii. This is a Boomshakalaka game for sure. And when one gets on Fire and can jump almost to the rafters and dunk, well you can’t beat that. Every team is on here, it’s two vs two play. You can play against the CPU and or a friend. This game is exciting and fun to play. You can really get into it. I really enjoy this game , then and now. You got to try it.extreme dunks, breaking teh backborad and shoving players out of the way, blocking shots, 3 pointers, and yes an occasional half and whole court shot will go in . Dunk over , around and vene through the other players. If you wear big boy pants, then i suggest you play this and do a big boy dunk .Did I also mention you can unlock Legend Players ? Yes, by beating them in a game you can use them, Larry Bird,Magic Johnson, the Mailman Karl Molone, to name just a few.Over all it’s a great game to play and one to keep in your collection. This is indeed a 5 Star game for any one who likes NBA Basketball.

NBA JAM was around in arcade spots in the early-mid 90’s (when I was a teenager). It was/is awesome! A super fast paced 2 on 2 basketball game. Years later, NBA JAM has been revamped for the current gen systems (Wii,PS3,Xbox 360). I bought this game for both Wii & Xbox 360. This is a solid, fun and energetic game! One of Wii’s best titles for sure. The game is just like you remember (if you were around back when NBA JAM was first brought to the gaming world?). Over the top moves, odd yet funny dialog/commentary,fast gameplay,no rules, ect…Of course it hosts the current day players. But it also has unlockable old school all-stars/legends to play as on their respectfull old teams. Also, you can unlock other characters (including the Beastie Boys). You can still shatter backboards, & be “on fire”. The graphics are great & the nostalgia hits you while playing. The best replay value in my opinion is playing it w/ friends or family. None the less, its still a fun game! The controls aren’t horrible, but could’ve been a little better. I recommend using the “classic controller” for it instead of the motion style with the Wii control and nun chuck. Also though….If you have a Wii and either PS3 or 360. I’d say pick this up for those systems instead. The gameplay feels better & more fluent. And the game is in HD on those systems!

NBA Jam is fun and challenging. I enjoy playing because I love basketball. It is a great stress reliever for me.

Met all my grandsons expectations. Fun had by all. That is enough words.. WE ARE DEVO…DARE WE NOT MEN?…..WE ARE DEVO

The Best basketball games hands down. Probably more fun than Mario Cart! I could play it for hours!

good game, reminds me of the old school fast-action jam with a little bit of tweeks to make game play more smooth. The game needs to improve its 21 feature so that it’s not all shoves and steals, and if EA could be so kind to make it so that you didn’t have to buy a separate classic controller to play without the motion feature, this game would have gotten 5 stars from me. I’m sorry EA, but the motion feature DOES NOT ADD to a better experience, it just makes it worse. I mean how hard would it be to make another controller configuration for JAM when EA already made one for the classic controller. All that is is game companies and Nintendo having agreements to sell more classic controllers that way, for shame..

I’m a child of the 80s and I can vividly remember dropping countless quarters into the NBA Jam arcade. It was the fast-paced, ultra-fun, pick up and play aspects of NBA Jam that had us all hooked in the mid-90s. EA Sports did a beautiful job updating the game for the modern audience. The game feels, pretty much, untouched. Although there is a great deal of nostalgia in this and other remakes, I wonder how the current generation of gamers (who didn’t have the absolute pleasure of playing NBA Jam in it’s glory days) will react. In many ways, the game is not “modern”. For Wii, there is no online integration (no problem to the old-schoolers as long as you have your buddies over). Also, there is no create-a-player, or Mi integration (which was surprising). These and other “modern expectations” for video games, specifically sports games, could detrimentally affect the way the “modern audience” accepts this game. However, to those who played NBA Jam in the glory days, this will feel very familiar…which is awesome.Gameplay – 5/5Graphics – 4.5/5 (but who cares)Controls – 5/5Fun Factor – 5/5Overall Package – 4/5 (considering the lack of online options and Mii integration)Closing Comments – For the gamer who wishes to relive the days of frantic arcade dunks and blocks (“He’s on fire!!!”), I would highly recommend this masterpiece. For the gamer who has never played NBA Jam, I’d recommend renting before purchasing…just to be on the safe side.

It’s all about that first dunk baby! I recommend using Blake Griffin. ICE WATER YA’LL. Yeah It feels that amazing! ONLY use the Wiimote too. This is what real basketball feels like for me but finally in a game. When you shoot you raise your hand and flex your wrist, to dunk you raise your hand to jump then thrust down to dunk just like in real life. Whoa.

I bought this game for my girlfriend and I to play together. The game is fun but we couldn’t even win the first game we played on the Easy career mode. It looks good and is fun. I guess the problem is with us! One other thing; it seems like the A, B, X, Y buttons for the Classic style controller are backward. It can be managed though.
