The game is fun and fantastic, but the best thing I can say (as someone who loves special editions) is that this one was cool as hell.
Saints Row is finally stepped out of the shadow of GTA. Collectors edition is amazing I mean look at all that stuff you get! The statue was probably my favorite piece

The Game of the Generation Edition is truly amazing!This edition is limited to only 5000.Once they are gone they will be gone forever.The dubstep gun and statue are killer but not even close to the amazing plaque. WORTH EVERY PENNY
this was my favorite thing i bought on retrolio because i love the statue, the button, the gun was alright but the display case s awesome and the game was out of this world fun.

Let me start with this, this game is not, nor is it intended to now or ever, to be compared with GTAV. This game stands on it’s own as a series and franchise. And here is what this game is, in my opinion. Stress Relief in an interactive form mixed with situations so over the top you will think you are living in an Internet Meme. It makes fun of everything from politics to itself as a creation. It mixes cliche moments with moments of greatness. It is a walking fart joke and youtube prank video. It is mature immaturity wrapped in a bacon deluxe carnage bun with a side of thick cut explosions, all washed down with cold refreshing middle finger to everybody. All of this, while still making the characters memorable, loveable, and laughable to each individual. Everything is over the top, but done in a way that channels the insanity into expectation, making it something that just “works.” in this series. From designing your own characters genitalia, to seeing Genki show up at random and launch people from a cannon, to being attacked by a giant energy drink, to *SPOILER* disarming a NUKE mid flight, saving the nation, and taking over the Presidency less than 5 minutes into the game.If you are looking for a stupid amount of fun, appreciate toilet humor on a scale that makes it humorous, and otherwise embracing what this game is and how it, kinda sadly, reflects the current generational social media fueled gamign culture, you will find an incredible value here. Not just in monetary wor.
This edition lacked nothing. The display case is probably my favorite accessory in the bundle. As for game play, epic. Who wouldn’t want to control a guy with seemingly limitless powers and wreak havoc on the enemy as well as the city. In the game you have so many super powers you feel completely invincible. This game is incredibly fun and if you aren’t the type of person that requires a game be realistic then you should definitely give this a chance.

Seriously, this game is the ultimate in fan service. There are so many awesomely bad, hysterical, pop culture references; you can’t help but enjoy what you’re diving into. The collectibles are fun if that sort of thing tickles your fancy, but the in-game bonuses are really where this edition shines. For instance, having access to the Dubstep Gun for the majority of the game, makes the mayhem even more fun. The DLC for this game (while not included) are also definitely worth getting. The gameplay is an interesting mix of GTA and Crackdown. Yet the game is a puckish rogue whom never takes itself too seriously, which is an undeniable part of its charm. Even for someone new to the series, if you enjoy great gameplay, epic boss battles, and ludicrous amounts of humor, then this game is a must have.

I love this edition because, being a huge Saints Row fan, the statue is fairly durable, and the display case is perfectly bright and comes with its batteries. But the audio for the Button of Doom isn’t perfect but pretty nice. And the Dubstep gun is very cool especially since it seems to have actual stereo.

I don’t even know what to say here. I have a gun that shoots dubstep. Process that for a moment. It’s a gun. And when I pull the trigger? Dubstep. I don’t even like dubstep, but you have to respect the hell out of that. Throw in the Dubstep Doomsday Button (In a locking case with a key), Johnny Gat Statue, rotating light up display case (WTF?), and a protective bag that, well, is basically a jumbo Crown Royal bag, and you’ve got…..well, more than you paid for in my opinion. Because the game is worth whatever that amount was. Best in the series, easily. But really, I’m reviewing the extras with this edition, not the game. The game doesn’t need me to talk about how amazing it is. Wouldn’t be able to do it justice anyway.

My son loved this gift. He had wanted it so bad & it apparently has not been a disappointment. He has really enjoyed playing every minute of it. Thankfully it hasn’t been one of those "I’m already done playing" games.

What can I say….played this game for hours!I can’t sleep….Really absorbing…. lots of things to accomplish! Missions… mayhem, destruction…. haha Im so entertained!I thought they had it with SR3 but SR4 takes the cake.Better graphics, fluid controls…. freedom to do whatever you want.Plus really appreciate the humor!The GoG edition has got to be the best collector edition for the year! The statue, display and wubwub gun are beautiful and a great conversation starter at dinner parties! If only they made the bendy dildo thing they featured in the game… hahaStill trembling as I type this.Get it!
