This game does have some flaws but I’m still giving it 5 stars overall because it is a great new direction for the sonic franchise in my opinion. I also feel that this game is highly misunderstood by the game reviews and players alike. If you play this game treating it like a whole new game with new controls its excellent but if you play this expecting a fast paced sonic game you might be disappointed.Yes sonic is slowed down in this game, yes the controls take a little getting used to(sonic has a kick/homing attack/spin dash/climbing), yes some cheap deaths can be expected, yes some parts are difficult and might frustrate you, and yes the boss battles could have been better. STILL this is a great game and I had a great time playing it.I might be in the minority but I felt that the slowing down of sonic just made him that much more precise. Sonic controls wonderfully in this game once you’ve got all the moves down. He isn’t all that slow either, if you want to speed run through the levels you just need to master the spin dash and double jump to blaze your way through if you really wanted to(check some youtube videos of players who are good at speed runs).Sonic has some new moves as well like the ability climb up trees and wall run across walls, it takes some practice but soon enough you’ll run across walls collecting rings and climbing up walls to different areas. I really enjoyed all of sonic’s moves and felt the controls were spot on.I really enjoyed many of the levels as w.

I’m going to try and keep this short and sweet and let you make up your mind. It seems that many fans and critics are ‘up in the air’ about Sonic: Lost World. People either love it, hate it, think its a failure, think its a step in the right direction, etc. etc. Here are a few things that are trueGraphics: The game looks and plays great. I’m primarily a PC gamer so I do love my graphics but even with the ‘slightly’ limited Wii U graphics card everything in Sonic and the Wii U usually looks great (HD, colorful, very enjoyable)Sound: Some very very catchy tunes. Some music is energetic and some other tunes are very serene, tranquil, and atmospheric. There were even some music in there that gave me a big ‘Super Mario Sunshine’ vibe.Gameplay: This is where it goes all over the place for most people. I think Sonic fans are a bit too loyal for their own good (because most of them seem to have some ‘set’ expectations on what makes a great sonic game). And critics are way too picky about games in general. Coming from your run-of-the-mill gamer, this game is GREAT. Very easy to pick up and get use to. The controls arent as ‘wonky’ as people explained to me. There are times you do lose some momentum but once you figure out how to work things its great.A big complaint is that the game is too slow. And I say "GOOD". Sonic games were getting to be too much of a blur anyways. I loved Sonic Generations (and a few other previous titles) but the levels are quick and then its over. They.

sonic is back and now faces six new enemies looking to make his life difficult, as if dealing with eggman wasn’t bad enough
