What I do remember is laughing so, so hard with a former friend while playing this game. Every time someone threw the ball and the opponent failed to catch it, they’d get smacked and the chuckling would ensue. This was also when Grand Theft Auto III was popular. But anyway, I have this piece of a review that I wrote way back when so I’ll share it with you (although it doesn’t touch on all of the important aspects of the rating, It does half):This dodge ball game was horrible in the beginning to me because I was only playing the 1 player mode. The second or even third time I tried it though, things changed. It was very funny!**Graphics**This game’s graphics weren’t really great – at all. Well, what I mean is they weren’t so bad that I wanted to puke but they just weren’t that great either. C-**Sound**In my opinion, sound doesn’t actually make or break the game because in fast paced games like this one you usually pay minimal attention to it. But it was obviously pleasant because the rating that is on the sheet is a 4/5. B-The rest of the categories are rated, but I never finished writing about them specifically. So I’ll just reveal the scores.**Control**A-**Fun Factor**Single Player: DMulti-Player: A-Overall: B-end note: For one penny plus shipping and handling, I’d say get this game if you still have a PS2 and have someone to play with. 2-player mode really made this game not stink. There were only a few games that made me laugh this much.

This game brings back memories for me so may be more fun for me than others. My brother and I used to play for hours after finishing homework. Still has the same little quirks I remember, like Player 2 combos are actually inverted from the Player 1 combos, which are what’s given in the manual’s instruction page. Once you figure that out and memorize the combo patterns (like any good fighting game) you’re on your way to hours of mindless fun.

This is defintly the Super Dodgeball for the next generation. There is one little detail, and that is that there is no difference betweeen this and Super Dodgeball on the NES (and GBA). But that’s OK, in fact it works out just fine. For those who haven’t played Super Dodgeball here is the story for this game, every year a tournament is held amongst the rival teams, in SUper DOdgeball it was different Nations, in this it’s rival gangs. This game holds 80’s stereotypes (punks, preps, cheerleaders, Jocks) all at the same strength and skill level. So if they are all the same, why is this so much fun? It is simple, it makes a great party game.Ok, now lets get to the controls and game style. You don’t just throw the ball, no you get special moves that are determined by how the ball is glowing. Green is level 1 and easiest to catch, yellow is level 2 and are moderatly challenging, and Level 3 is the team Captain move (the captain is the guy who stands out and is in the middle at the start of the round) which is very difficult to dodge or catch. Each character like in real life can only get hit once, after that they are out. I can tell you that I have been at many conflicts where had one guy left (Just like in real life).Overall this was so much fun to me because I was a huge fan of SUper Dodgeball, if it wasn’t for the fact that there is a shallow 1 player mode this gamer would be nearly perfect (still deserves 5 stars though). However if this is succesful, a good PS2 transi.
