my daughter giggles when she plays this game. I love seeing her doing that. She loves it and that is important to me.

I recently purchased this game on a lightning deal for 20$ and SMB 3D overall has tremendous graphics! It has somewhat better graphics than Zelda 3D! I recommend it to everyone since the price is really cheap right now! But, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it is really short!Gameplay: 8.5/10The game has 3 choices of gaming and they consist of the Monkey Ball adventure, a kart-racing adventure, and a Super smash bros. rip off section which consists of choosing a monkey character and fighting CPU’s and get as much banana’s so you can be able to win. I really like it, but it tends to get boring because there is no online play. The kart racing part is really fun and can keep you satisfied for a total of 3 hours. (depends if you became addicted like I did.) It’s a rip-off of Mario Kart, but you can play this until Mario Kart comes out because it’s really great! The Monkey Ball adventure is excellent! You can be able to move with the Motion sensor on the 3DS or you can be able to use the analog pad.(I recommend to turn of the 3D when you use the motion sensor because it tends to hurt your eyes.)It has easy controls so you can be able to get addicted to it easily! But the bad thing is that there are only 70 stages (or 7 worlds that consist of 10 stages.)But I wouldn’t complain because there are the other 2 sections of the game that you can play which are really fun!Graphics: 9.8/10This game along with Pilot Wings Resort and Zelda, by far has the best graphics for.

I haven’t really been that up-to-date with the Super Monkey Ball franchise, since the only other two games I have of the series are Super Monkey Ball 2 and Super Monkey Ball Jr. Both of which I did not really play too much. Then again, I haven’t played them in a while, so maybe my experiences with them may change if I get back to them, but I recall them giving me a pretty hard time with their stage designs. So is it just me or is Super Monkey Ball 3D easier? I still used up a bunch of continues, but I still managed to beat the main game.Difficulty aside, the game is an addictive arcade-style romp where you tilt the playing field to navigate the little monkey trapped in a ball to the goal. If you are fond of games like Marble Madness, this one’s totally for you, and this particular title is especially pleasing thanks to the colorful graphics and 60 FPS smoothness that is reminiscent of the earlier games in the series. I’m not sure if the levels were as creative as they were then, but I’ll tell you one thing: They are still well-designed, and are sure to keep you on your toes, especially when you’re going for the bananas scattered around. As fun as the main game is, the other two game modes featured in this cartridge don’t settle as well in this gamer’s personal opinion. Monkey Race is simply a second-rate Mario Kart clone with less polish and uninteresting items. Monkey Fight holds more merit, since it involves platforming around a small arena, beating up other Monkeys for thei.

Super Monkey Ball 3D is a great, fun game. Unlike Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 for Gamecube, this one is more like a series of zigzags and mazes which is OK. The soundtrack is fantastic. I actually ripped it after a week of having the game. The story mode is just 8 worlds with 10 levels each including a bonus round on stage 5. So, 80 stages total. For a one player game, it is really short, but it is fun. The 3D is really cool. Things really pop out of the screen! The kart game is pretty fun. I feel like the computers just cheat I guess. You could be doing well, but then end up in 8th place at the last second. It is like it tries to be Mario Kart, but isn’t really Mario Kart. This is the best racing mode for Monkey Ball I think. You get items and everything. There are 3 worlds for it and 3 races each, so, 9 stages. It is fun. You get 16 characters and karts, 8 of which are unlockable for each. The other mode is best described as Super Smash Brothers. If you know what Super Smash Brothers is, than that is really what this is. Beat up monkeys on a stage and knock them off. From what I understand, it is like coin match. The one with the most bananas wins.Since no one else I know has a 3DS or this game, I can’t say anything about the multiplayer mode. This game is really easy to navigate. You really need no Japanese knowledge. You basically need to know YES (HAI) and NO (IIE). This game also uses the motion sensor (you have to turn that mode on) to play this game by tilting the Nintendo3D.

I played Super Money Ball on the Game Cube, and it was a nice game, but this is better because of the controls. You can play using the gyroscope and tilting the 3DS to control the ball (I’d recommend turning off the 3D when you are playing like this), or you can use the analog stick which is the same control as used on the Game Cube. There are more levels than the Game Cube, although it seems to be easier.

I’ve played monkey ball for the wii, monkey ball for the gamecube and monkey ball for the original ds so it made sense for me to pick monkey ball as a first 3ds game! I did find it enjoyable and played for about an hour but monkey ball used to be really challenging and the way the stages were designed was fantastic. I do feel that because it’s in 3D the company have thought oh its in 3D no-one will care what the stages look like! It’s not as fabulous as all the others but it is still strangely addictive and good fun.Overall I’d say,It’s a wonderful game but lacks enough stages and worlds to really satisfy monkey ball fans. :)

I have this game for the wii but didn’t like it very much so when I saw it for the 3ds I took a chance. This is a very fun 3ds game and it is easy to control. This is a game for all ages, my mother and son (64 & 7) both like this game and find it easy to play. Great family game.
