We got this game for our son as his first game. He loves Cars so we knew that was a win/win. It is so easy for him to play and there are no worries about dying/losing. He has not made it past the first level of the game so he will have plenty of chances to advance as he plays. Also fun for us grownups!!!

An open-world racing game seems bizarre for a movie tie-in game based on the "Cars" film of all movies but it works surprisingly well.

My daughters loved it. Brought them back to the day when they were able to play GameCube all day and not worry about college and if they want a venti or trenta latte.

THIS GAME IS AMAZING!!!! I HAD THIS WHEN I WAS 5 AND IT WAS INSANELY FUN. ITS AN OPEN WORLD TYPE THING. I got lost in the desert once trying to find out how to get this postcard on a ledge and I didn’t want to reset my console so after hours of searching I found out how to get back

This game has some good sceenery. The user is able to drive all around and does not have to stay on the road. Good game for the younger crowd (Pre-teen and younger).

I realize the year is 2015, so a review of a nearly decade-old game might be odd. However, I bought the game recently because my daughter is finally old enough to play video games and the Gamecube was in the closet. Even she got tired of Navi yelling at her, so I decided to get some kid-friendly games, and Cars was one of those.Cars is a cute game that is definitely appropriate for a young kid because of the Disney theme as well as the simple game play. Players choose from a cast of characters from Disney’s Cars movie then they drive around. There are races, free driving areas, and more. Controlling the cars tends to be pretty easy, and the game is very forgiving of going off track, putting you right back on the track quickly. If my kid doesn’t become a better driver before she gets her license, my car insurance prices are going to be out of control. The free driving is just a fun time for kids. I would prefer more objectives, but I didn’t get the game for me, and she loves that mode. Two-player mode on the races is great, particularly if you want to play with your child or anyone else.
