  1. Final fantasy fan

Great game got here on time would recomend it to anyone.

If you only buy one castlevania game in your life, make it this one, because this game is the shining example of perfect. You will start off with the cleaned up port, this features all the great points removed from Dracula X, most notably the playable character of Maria, who allows for a different way to play, as she is more of a glass cannon (high maneuverability and damage, but not able to take as many hits as Richter.) the visual style of the game is very appealing, using models for the player character and monsters, on a 2-D background, allowing for a very good looking game for the console.Beyond the stellar remake, in the game is also the original Japanese rondo of blood, as well as a port of the playstation one Classic, symphony of the night. My only warning is that, if you’re expecting the game to be a casual walk through the park, you will be in for a rude awakening, because this game is ruthless with difficulty. To keep this from being any longer, don’t buy a PC engine and rondo of blood, just get this game and a psp, you will not be disappointed.

  5. Michael

    Awesome. A true castlevania game.

  6. Dack

Rondo of Blood in the US! Finally! Not to mention the 2.5D visuals look fantastic! The biggest reason I bought this game was to have SotN on my PSP, but Rondo of Blood was a surprising treat that I enjoyed just as much as SotN. This represents the turning point in Castlevania history that made the series what it is today. If you have a PSP and don’t own this game, you need to rethink your priorities.

Castlevania is one of the most beloved games of all time in video game history. Way back in 1986 it made a big splash with it’s introduction on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Since then the series has progressed, and here in 2008 the series is as popular as it was back in 1986. People who have never played the series, now might be a good time with this gem of a catch, and I personally consider it to be the best PSP game around at this point.Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles is a collection of 3 games. The first unlocked game you’re available to play off the bat is Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. This game overlooked by many was never released in the U.S, and finally in the palm of your hand. It’s an amazing game from all directions, including amazing graphics, tremendous sound, and awesome gameplay. If you never played it before, this game is strictly focuing on the action aspects of the series. Lots of jumping, slashing and running from enemies. No worries about using magic or RPG elements to slow the game down. This is do, or die for this vampire slashing game. This particular version of Rondo of Blood can be considered a remix of the original(also included). What’s so great about it, Castlevania fans will recognize the remixed music brought back from many of the original Castlevania games including the orignal level theme from the original Castlevania on the NES!! A true fans dream of hearing this music all new and synthesized with the power of the PSP. Even better, w.

If you are a castlevania fan then this a must buy. It has multiple castlevania games wrapped up nicely in one polished package. The base game, rondo of blood, is very fun and borders between enjoyable and frustrating when trying for perfect runs and finding alternate routes. For newcomers, just know that this is an old school game and there no hand holding. When you’re out of continues you start from the beginning of the level and each time you die you lose your sub weapon. If you keep on dying then you just need to get better at it or sell the game. The voice acting is bad, but that is part of its charm so don’t expect a blockbuster from story and production values. There is tons to unlock between games and these are some of the greatest castlevania has ever presented. These games are not easy but also not as hardcore as something like contra. All in all, I love this game but then again I love castlevania games. A game this price is a great way to feel it out if you are new, but know that this a compilation of games with only 2d motion and simple mechanics. It is vastly different from the 3d, over the shoulder 3rd person action game that the series has evolved into on ps3 and xbox 360.

Love the game, played it before on PlayStation and now I have it on PSP. Great game

The first castlevania game I played was circle on the moon for game boy advance, this one being more old school was really fun to discover, the graphics are up to date and the difficult is really challenging as most games where before. The game is linear but it will take you saveral hours to complete, and probably it will get frustrating at certain point, but it’s worth it. The music is amazing, remasterized versions of old classics like “bloody tears” are all over the game, and this time they are masterful. Also it includes the original Rondo of blood for those who are more nostalgics, moreover, it has castlevania Simphony of the Night, for some it is the best Castlevania yet. If you have played any of those in GBA or DS, you will love this one.three games in one, an excellent price, it was great purchase.
