My granddaughter like this game. She really love the racoon character in the game.

Sly Cooper is a young master thief, assisted by his turtle buddy, Bentley, and a hippo named Murray. The threesome set out on a mission of vengeance, striking back against the five criminals who killed Sly’s father and stole the Thievius Raccoonus. The Fiendish Five have split up and gone their separate ways since stealing Sly’s book, so you’ll traverse through five separate worlds. Each world has seven main objectives that manifest themselves in the form of treasure keys. Once you’ve collected all seven keys, you can fight the world’s boss.Aside from getting through the levels, there are also a few extra objectives in the game’s standard levels. Each level has a collection of bottles hidden throughout. Once you collect all the bottles, you can open that level’s vault and retrieve a page of the Thievius Raccoonus. Each page will give Sly an additional move, such as a forward dash attack, the ability to slow time down while jumping, and a high-speed roll. Each level has a time attack objective that becomes available once you’ve gotten a key and all of its bottles. The most difficult part of the game is that Sly normally dies after taking just one hit. Collecting a lot of coins can bring this number up to two or three hits before Sly dies.One-hit deaths can be a little frustrating in a few of the game’s more difficult portions. With only a couple of exceptions, all the enemies die with one swing of your cane. The game throws a few stealth situations at you, but this is limite.

If you got some time to use, use it on this game. Man, the graphics are great (cell shaded), game play is very responsive, camera angles are never tiring. Use of Binoculars with a zoom for the character is an awesome touch. If you like platformers, or never tried one (Jak and Dexter, Crash Bandicoot) you will love this game. I find myself going back for more…unlike some games that can get frustrating or just boring after awhile. Backgrounds are funny also, if you get the game, the paradies that are played are hillarious.

Note: This review was written as if the game was just released Starting at a very young age, we are told that stealing is wrong, and that we should never do it. There are laws that punish those who steal and it is usually frowned upon by society. Well, this game is telling you the exact opposite: steal, steal, and keep stealing. There have been popular games that revolve around sneaking, such as Thief and Metal Gear Solid, but none have been done in such a unique style. Playing as a raccoon who steals is not only clever, but also exceptionally fun. The game contains a wide array of characters, all of which are animals. This style makes the stealing seem less bad, but still richly rewarding. What other game has you play as a raccoon, with a turtle and hippo as his sidekicks, all while evading a fox cop? I don’t know a game that does. What This Game is All About: The player starts the game by watching a short, in-game cut scene. A raccoon is prowling throughout the night on rooftops far above ground level. He jumps gracefully across each building, all while remaining silent. He stops on one rooftop, and the game prompts the player to press start. When you press start, the game starts right then and there. It is nice to have the game just start right up at the beginning; it adds a certain cinematic feel. After completing the prologue level, a cut scene starts up to explain the backdrop of the story. The protagonist, Sly (how ironic), was born from a family that is known for their.

We are PS2 fans with 2 girls age 5 and 7. Had our PS2 3 years and love Jak and Ratchet. Although both of these are still too hard for the youngest. Our 7 year old is pretty good at the controls now and will happily play for the younger to watch. They both love the cartoon style of Sly and it was challenging enought without being too hard to keep their interest. Dad can play easily, and it’s still fun for mom. We’re looking forward to the sequel. There’s not too many playable games that don’t involve tons of violent moves for girls that dad and mom like to play too. Sly wins for our family.
