I’ve loved this series from day one, and once again NSS knocks it out of the park!Compelling and action packed. Well crafted characters whom you end up deeply caring for. Villains whom you feel, just a wee bit of pity for.Twists and turns. A vivid post apocalyptic world. What more could you ask for?I love it!!! Bring on book 6.Thank you Mr Smith for bringing such amazing stories into the world. Keep writing!
Wow, the best in the series. I don’t know what to say without leaving spoilers. But I can say that the fight for survival is intense. Looking forward to continuing this world Nick has show us. The series could easily ended with book.
This book is a little more action packed and fast paced. It feels very Mad Max and Waterworld. This series would translate well into a series of movies!
The latest entry of Nicholas HD series is a must read, it takes you to a lovely ride, so far the best, character progression, every detail in perfectly in place, the plot, the ending, the last fight, the final agreement btw 2 main characters, is something unique. Congrats!!!
As a solid fan of Hell Divers, I’ve already read the first 4 books and waiting impatiently for this one to come out. The wait was worth it! It was great to read about my favorite character X again and I look forward to the next book. Keep em coming Nicholas!
Fantastic creatures, brave hero’s, strange villain. What’s not to like about this series. I can’t wait to read the next addition and I stopped reading another book to jump right on to Captives. Love it.

Characters rise, and Characters fall in a story filled with twists, and turns, as what’s left of Humanity fights for its very survival. This fifth installment in the series envokes so much emotion over the course of an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride that is hard to put down. Mr. Smith outdoes himself once again, giving readers his best story to date, in a novel that is extremely hard to put down.
Great story, the action just kept going throughout the book. It gives you chills just picturing yourself in the places and times of the story. The people are believable. Keep them comming!
Yet again another book in this series that was as good as the previous ones. Looking forward to the next book

I absolutely LOVE this series. This is one of the series that I’ve shared with my dad and get him excited about with each new book. HD5 picks up right where 4 lets off. There’s no feeling of “I missed something…” that I sometimes feel with books in a series. X is in a very precarious position where he has to choose between going against his instincts and working alongside the people who have taken him prisoner, or fighting against them and possibly getting himself, Magnolia, Rodger and Miles killed in the process. While making hard choices, he finds out some interesting things about his captors. You’re in for a wild ride with this one. This is the first book in a while that has made me say “one more chapter, then I’ll go to bed” over and over again, only stopping for the night when I could no longer focus and read the same page 15 times. If you’re a fan of the Hell Divers series, you’ll enjoy book 5. Looking forward to 6 now.

How can anyone give this book less than 5 stars? The last 3 or 4 chapters especially were impossible to put down. You just couldn’t guess what was going to happen. It was gripping, exciting, scary, sad and happy all rolled into one. Extremely well written and easy to read. Well done!!

I’ve really enjoyed this series. I’ve read many of Mr. Smith’s books and all have been enjoyable reads. The character development in this series is super and you get emotionally attached to the crew both good and bad.

They strive to keep technology alive and growing as best that they can.They use brave Hell Divers to retrieve power sources, medical supplies and technological items.Finally they find an area on the surface of the earth on which the first living humans are discovered. It is not on land but on the “Metal Islandsâ€. There are perhaps thousands of people living in sunshine and good weather. The “Sky People†want to join them and live on the Metal Islands till they find out more about the people that call themselves the Cazadors.Their leader is a maniac serial killer and the Cazadors are cannibals. They scour the earth to find other small groups of humans to use as slaves, or food…….Nicolas Sansbury Smith has become the best writer of horror and of Sci-Fi drama. This book is one of his best. Every story he writes tends to get better and better. I view his talent as the new Stephen King or the new Dean Koontz. His books, in my opinion, are every bit as good as the top writers of this genre and I enjoy his stories a lot. I find them scary and entertaining!

Wow! Great Read! This latest book in the Hell Divers series is excellent Exciting, fast paced, and at times heart-pounding. Hell Divers has been a favorite series of mine since I read book one. It is a very unique story in the Sci-Fi genre, and a great read in any fiction category. “Wow†may sound like a childish way to start a review, but that was the first word out of my mouth after finishing the book. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a well written story.
