I’ve loved this series from day one, and once again NSS knocks it out of the park!Compelling and action packed. Well crafted characters whom you end up deeply caring for. Villains whom you feel, just a wee bit of pity for.Twists and turns. A vivid post apocalyptic world. What more could you ask for?I love it!!! Bring on book 6.Thank you Mr Smith for bringing such amazing stories into the world. Keep writing!
Wow, the best in the series. I don’t know what to say without leaving spoilers. But I can say that the fight for survival is intense. Looking forward to continuing this world Nick has show us. The series could easily ended with book.
This book is a little more action packed and fast paced. It feels very Mad Max and Waterworld. This series would translate well into a series of movies!
The latest entry of Nicholas HD series is a must read, it takes you to a lovely ride, so far the best, character progression, every detail in perfectly in place, the plot, the ending, the last fight, the final agreement btw 2 main characters, is something unique. Congrats!!!
As a solid fan of Hell Divers, I’ve already read the first 4 books and waiting impatiently for this one to come out. The wait was worth it! It was great to read about my favorite character X again and I look forward to the next book. Keep em coming Nicholas!

Great story, the action just kept going throughout the book. It gives you chills just picturing yourself in the places and times of the story. The people are believable. Keep them comming!

Once again Nicholas Smith has done it. Hell Divers is absolutely the most unique, unusual and diverting series out there! HDV: The Captives, continues the series, and is , without a doubt, one of the best books of the genre. If you can even say that there is a similar genre. How many books are written 250 years in the future, with the small remainder of mankind in airships, fighting against a hostile, barren existence , trying to find the elusive area, where there is a real sun, and a place for them to live normal lives. For hundreds of years, the Hell Divers have “ dived, so humanity can live.†And now they have located the fabled Metal islands where the sun shines, and they can establish a colony and live like normal people, once again. Or can they. As the title indicates, all does not go well, but the fight is on. The airship Deliverance and the salvaged USS Zion fight the infamous ElPulpo, for a spot on the islands. Amazing fight scenes, killings, loss of lives on both sides, betrayal and new friendships forged …. a true epic adventure. If you haven’t started the series, get busy and start book 1. If you are hesitating on getting book 5, Hell Divers V: Captives, do it now! It’s amazing!!!
