Good story! Fast paced easy read. Nice series to escape with when not wanting anything heavy but also wanting to be entertained!
Just as entertaining as the previous series entries but with a different flavor of suspense. The real drama surrounds the divergence of society in an apocalyptic world and what happens when they clash over limited resources. Captives highlights the potential depravity that comes from desperation for a semblance of normalcy. I suspect future installments will see our Hell Divers back in the waste lands.
This book, as most are, is ultimately a story of good versus evil. There is plenty of good and heroic deeds here. There is plenty of evil to oppose the good. Ultimately the future wins.
I wanted to feel what the Hell Divers feel when they jump out of an airship. So i put on my hockey helmet, blasted ACDC ‘Thunderstruck’ and jumped off my bed screaming “Valhalla!” What a rush! I sprained my ankle and hurt my shoulder but that’s okay i’m not a soccer player i’m a Hell Diver! So i brushed it off and did it again screaming “Today i dive so humanity survives!” Can anyone recommend a good chiropractor?Anyway the book review. This was the best of the five. Story kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end. El Pupo and Magnolia reminded me of Jabba the Hutt and Princess Leia and on page 254 was reminiscent of Luke Skywalker getting his new hand. Fast and fun. They need to turn this into a tv series on AMC or Netflix. And a big thanks to Nicholas Sansbury Smith for responding to my email. Always cool when authors interact with their fans, “The way to paradise is through hell.”

I’ve loved this series from day one, and once again NSS knocks it out of the park!Compelling and action packed. Well crafted characters whom you end up deeply caring for. Villains whom you feel, just a wee bit of pity for.Twists and turns. A vivid post apocalyptic world. What more could you ask for?I love it!!! Wow, the best in the series. I don’t know what to say without leaving spoilers. But I can say that the fight for survival is intense. Looking forward to continuing this world Nick has show us. The series could easily ended with book.

This book is a little more action packed and fast paced. It feels very Mad Max and Waterworld. This series would translate well into a series of movies!

The latest entry of Nicholas HD series is a must read, it takes you to a lovely ride, so far the best, character progression, every detail in perfectly in place, the plot, the ending, the last fight, the final agreement btw 2 main characters, is something unique. Congrats!!!
