The price isn’t comparable to any other! Hands down the cheapest found. An excellent game and re-playable multiple times. A++

This game was a thriller and a huge success until the let-down ending. If a second Alan Wake is never made, then spare yourself the cliffhanger and don’t buy this one.

So far, I LOVE this game. I think it’s more geared towards an older audience who is not addicted to the predictable and somewhat boring constant action of most FPSs. both the game play and the cut-scenes are eerie and sometimes terrifying. The sound is great, and landscape visuals are breathtaking. the lighting effects (as mentioned by most previous reviewers) are innovative and really add a unique dimension to game play (I mean, literally unique, like not before seen).I haven’t finished the game yet, and in fact one of the things I like about it, is that it’s narrative style makes me interact with it in a slightly less addictive way than most games. I find myself more satisfied with a good hour of this game than with consecutive days playing certain other crack-like games. The voice acting is as good or better than any other game I’ve played (not that that’s saying a whole lot) and the story is enticing if a little campy. as I mentioned before, I haven’t finished so I can’t really do a full analysis on this topicA couple of small issues that I found annoying:The detailed animation was just terrible. I’m talking here mostly about lips and faces. This is understandable considering how much else is going on in this game from a graphics point of view, but why all the super closeups of bad facial animations. in cut-scenes you’d think they could cheat the graphics a little, or maybe hide their own failures a little better.Another issue I had with game play had to do with Ammo. if y.

Great game – very story driven. If you are more into action than this will not be good for you, however it has strong story and decent villains. Combat is a little repetitive and there were a few predictable areas where you just know something is going to pop out. Over all though, a good game.

It’s a great game. The best part is the fantastic story. Also comes with a dlc code printed inside if bought new. It’s why I bought a xbox 360.

CONCEPT:A dark presence has taken over the town of Bright Falls…it seems to be from an unfinished novel that you (Alan Wake) do not remember writingGRAPHICS:Alan Wake sports some of the finest graphics yet to be seen on the xbox 360, period.Beautiful landscapes and dark shades complimented with extreme lighting effects from various weapons offer very satisfying touches to battle scenes.SOUND DESIGN:High tension suspense is heightened through the games exceptional sound design. The narration from Alan really emphasizes the emotional impact of the story. The soundtrack feels cheezy at the end of some chapters but most of the songs fit rather well.CONTROLS:Controls are well responsive and easy to learn, they become second nature by the end of the 1st level.ENTERTAINMENT:This game is hard to put down once you start playing, the weird story line pulls you in like a movie. I liked discovering the hidden manuscript pages that hinted at details which were about to happen. I have to admit though I was really confused at what even happened within the actual story once I finished the game, but this mystery is also part of the games strength.REPLAY VALUE:ModerateThere really isn’t too much to explore off the beaten path. although future DLC promises to engage players into unraveling more of the mysterious story.OVERALLAlan Wake is much like an interactive lost episode of the twilight zone. Filled with suspenseful tension, gorgeous graphics, heart stopping sound design and an extremely.

I love the twilight zone, the blend of horror where you never have all the answers yet you fight to still make it out alive. Alan Wake is that perfect fusion of interactive entertainment and breathtaking story telling. Remedy known for the hit series Max Payne has created a beautiful haunting experience that all whom enjoy horror should partake. Once you enter Bright Falls as chilling as it may be you may never want to leave. Bravo Remedy for creating a game that haunts me till this day.

Good game yet I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it. As a fan of the horror survival genre. I have played many top horror games. Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, Clock Tower, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, etc… I love the story that this game presents but it just doesn’t manage to be very challenging or intense. If you are a fan of the horror survival genre then don’t get this. It just doesn’t manage to give you that unique feel that most horror survival games have. Don’t get me wrong this game can scare you good at times. The dark atmosphere and feel of the game is actually quite creepy. For those who don’t play this genre often this one is for you.

Expectations can be a funny thing. You set them too high and something good can stare you right in the face yet you’ll completely miss it.Such is the case with Alan Wake, a game I had eagerly anticipated for several years, back when this “psychological action thriller” game appeared as if it would be a little more open and would involve a slower, more psychologically gripping narrative. What Alan Wake turned out to be was a moody, atmospheric action game with a solid enough story and gameplay that is fun but repetitive.A recipe for disappointment? Maybe. But only if I demanded that the game be what I wanted it to be rather than appreciate it for what it is. Sure, I wanted the game I (mistakenly) imagined, with a more open world and intense narrative and true chills and intelligent puzzles. What I got instead was a different sort of game, but you know what? It was a solid game nonetheless.Alan Wake bills itself as a psychological action thriller, and that’s about right. The gameplay is third person shoot shoot shoot, no more, no less. Enemies appear, you shine a flashlight on them to wear them down (think of it like wearing down an enemy’s shields), then you shoot them. Sometimes you’re in a vehicle, sometimes you’re dodging flying objects, sometimes the locations vary, but by and large the action is very repetitive. Crisp, well handled, and enjoyable, but almost no variety. It gets old fast, especially since the gameplay offers little else BUT that. Practically nothing in the.
