Having never played this game when it originally came out in 1996, was expecting it to feel very dated.I have gone back to the Doom games and which I did play a lot at the time and they are still kind of fun but get boring. I LOVE THIS GAME. Great job recreating the spooky feel of the Alien movie with a great soundtrack which adds to the expericence. If you are a fan of the first two Alien movies I think you will like this.

  2. Jose J. Falero

    Love the classics. Works great.

  3. Jose Rodriguez

big fan. can’t wait to play.

I have played this game many times before. Due to family financial reasons I had to get rid of it. Finding it again at an affordable price was huge bonus. The game I ordered came in the original case but with one deeper scratch which makes one part of the game freeze for a few seconds then it works great again afterwards. Its a fun game and I missed playing it. Sometimes the scratched part makes me lose a life but the playability is still great.

Doom reskinned with xenomorphs. Dark, difficult, and super old school; Glory

Alien Trilogy is a first person shooter that plays very much like Doom, Duke Nukem 3D and Wolfenstein 3D. It ties all 3 Alien movies together into one, but it does it very loosely meaning that even though the game is based off of all 3 films, the story in this game is it’s own story. You play as Ripley throughout the entire game. Most of the objectives in each of the levels include clearing out alien hordes, activating switches for elevators and doors so that it’ll be easier access for the clean up crew, and collecting ID tags from fallen comrades. There are a total of 3 chapters in this game, and about 12 levels per chapter. Just like with Doom and Wolfenstein 3D, Alien Trilogy tells you the progress that you’ve made in that level after completing it. It tells you the percentage of aliens killed, the percentage of secrets found, and the percentage of your mission accomplished. Though, I have noticed that after completing a level, it will sometimes skip a level for some reason. I don’t know if it’s because you have to get 100% in all 3 categories on the chapter before the skipped chapter in order to play it. The game does have cutscenes, but there are very few of them, 3 to be exact. Each one plays before starting a new chapter, though oddly there is no ending cutscene after completing the game, not even any credits. The graphics are identical to that of Doom and Wolfenstein 3D, except with different enemies and a different HUD. There are a variety of enemies in this game inc.

I was very impressed when the person selling this game to me gave an express delivery out of the kindness of his heart. That was thoughtful.

  8. T. Ducken

the graphics are a little chunky but I was still compelled to buy it four years after I played it

  9. EffiePouros

    Great buy

There are many aspects of this game that i love. The music in this game is hauntingly beautiful, i rarely get a chance to say that so im going to enjoy it. Its like a dark ambient something thats just absolutely perfect. The same guy, stephen root, made the music for die hard trilogy. If you dont want to buy the game at least give the music a go online, track 9 is my favorite. This was the first fps i ever played and I think it did very well for its time. It can be a tad clunky at first once you get a groove your good to go. The stage layout is great, the bonus stages are a cool touch, and those queen battles always got me pumped as a kid. There are plenty of stages in it and plenty of hidden equipment and ammo which i am a sucker for. I think theres over 25.All in all i love it. It has a special place in my heart because of my childhood, and i thank god i was given the chance to listen to this music and just watch my dad shoot aliens up.
