Well first off, I’d like to say that there has been a concern with the text in this game. I think the points made by others are valid and the issue of small, fast-scrolling text IS being addressed by RARE and will soon be fixed with a patch. The text issue ONLY affects those with an SDTV, HOWEVER if you have an HDTV the text is legible. It only scrolls fast for cutscenes, but in-game, when talking to characters; you have the option to choose when the next screen comes up. The only reason I dedicated this large section just to the text, was because the other people base their reviews on it when the rest of the game is practically flawless. The game doesn’t deserve 1 star because of this and it should be higher cause I don’t want a review the negate the average score when other parts are superior. Now onto the actual review! The game plays by you building your own vehicles with the different parts you collect. At first the vehicle-building system seems complex and difficult to master, but after learning the basics, any kid could create anything! With all of the parts, you could make vehicles ideal for riding on land, flying through the air, gliding through snow and water, and even swimming underwater! Although the majority of the games were based around on-foot platforming, there are still parts you can run through and explore. Due to the use of vehicles now being available, the worlds are MASSIVE and detailed. It would take minutes to cross on foot, which is why riding a vehicl.

I bought mine used so I guess I got a good deal. Sometimes freezes(rarely) but is in perfect condition besides that.

I was surprised how cheap this game was because it was still in plastic wrap. Since I revived This game I find it really addictive and fun. not to mention the fast delivery.

The game is beautiful and, for the most part, enjoyable. Ultimately the game play mechanics are very “last gen”, making it feel older and less intuitive than I would have hoped.

Okay, lemme start off by saying I love this game. When I first started, however, I missed some of the introduction and so when I got to the world I was completely lost. I managed to figure out what to do, though. Somehow after that, my file was deleted by my genius brother, and I had to start over. One thing I don’t like about the game is that it won’t let you have more than 1 file. The good thing about this for me, though, is that my little “genius” brother doesn’t mind watching me. Overall, I love the game and it is a chance to let my imaginative, creative mind loose when I’m building vehicles for Banjo and Kazooie. (By the way, I have somewhere around 20 vehicles xD) I really enjoy the game, but I think that it would be hard to understand if you’re not a fast reader. (Luckily, I am, so when the Text comes across the screen I don’t miss any of it.)

This is fun a game with lots to do. I spend hours making my own vehicles i love customization aspect of the game.

I’m sort of confused by it but I don’t play it often. My 4 year old and 10 year old love it though.
Bullock Family –
Our children played this game at the dentist office and loved it enough to use their b-day money to purchase it.

I don’t understand why “BK purists” hate this game. Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie are among my favorite games of ALL TIME, the first one perhaps my favorite, and I LOVE Nuts and Bolts. I think the reason BK purists don’t like this game is because they didn’t give the game enough of a chance. They played one level and decided they hated it because it’s not like the originals, and because they didn’t give it more of a chance, they assume the game is nothing but races. It’s true, every mission, is in essence, a time trial, but only a fool would think they’re all races. There are collection missions, battle missions, races, aerial dogfights, boss fights ( and more than just Grunty, for example, in Nutty acres, you fight Mr. Patch from Banjo Tooie in an aerial dogfight, only this time you actually have a plane with other optional weapons, and not just Kazooie, who flew terribly because of the early 3D gen cameras)Is the game BETTER than the originals? Yes and No. Yes, it’s a much more visually spectacular game, and the soundtrack is phenomenal. But it isn’t better than the originals in terms of gameplay. It’s about as much fun, or maybe slightly less. It doesn’t matter that the two lost their moves, you can make a vehicle that can replace ANY ability they had in the earlier games)The only reason I can see for someone else not liking the game is they don’t have the patience or creativity to actually make their own vehicles. Well, you can always use blueprints that Humba will sell (.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is a great game for families and gamers alike. In a word, its just plain fun. There’s nothing too deep here in the way of story or character elements. Its more about having fun in many different types of challenges and game worlds, with an emphasis on building your own vehicles in order to conquer your current challenge or objective. Add to that some excellent bright and colorful graphics, and you have a great game overall.Pros: Game is just FUN — Creating your own vehicles is a blast and gives the user unlimited possibilities — Still a decent amount of old fashioned platforming — Great graphics — Retains alot of the loveable traits of the old banjo gamesCons: Creating vehicles, while the interface is easy, could be pretty daunting for young kids — If you get frustrated easily with losing and retrying challenges, you might want to steer clear — The game overall is a tad difficult, which again could turn younger gamers offOverall I’d definitely recommend this game to people of all ages, but I’d advise to be careful with younger children as they might find the gameplay and vehicle creator difficult. Luckily, if you are devoid of imagination or just lazy, the game throws a multitude of custom built vehicles at your that will serve just fine in all of the challenges. Add to this that the game is cheaper than most, and its a must buy!
