You don’t have an Xbox to play gears? Principle is the same ! Balanced third person shooter/cover game. Light story with a little bit of action including a voice recognition system makes it an interesting pick up. 20$ or less = take it

Badass game

Great third person shooter. The shooting mechanics are pretty good and it plays well. The trust thing in the game can be annoying. As pretty much the only shooters I play are third person shooters, I wouldnt rank this as the best one ive played. I think vanquish and ghost recon future soldier are both better. It has a decent story and good graphics. Would buy a sequal for probably about the same price as this game. To me there isn’t much replayability. I beat it once then rushed through it a second time. Would recommend as a cheap purchase or a rental

Great play. Alot of action.

This is the sleeper hit of 2012 for me. I loved the near futuristic sci-fi plot, the way the story developed, the possible endings, and above all the characters – the main character almost takes second place to his trusty buddy, an awesome robot, and a gorgeous dead-shooter. This game oozes personality and quality while being an extremely solid 3rd-person shooter.I can’t speak for how online play is at the moment as to be honest I only bothered with it once, this game satisfies that hunger for a good story and offline experience so much that I didn’t care for a multiplayer mode. It took me over a year and a half after beating the game to get around to writing this so it is extremely cheap now. Anything $15 or less is a great deal for this game, I highly recommend it. Great story, looks, audio, and gameplay.ps: While I played through the story, two friends (guy and girl) watched it and were also really into it. I can only say this happened with Portal 2 and Uncharted 2, so Binary Domain is in top notch company here.

Very fun action oriented and unorthodox game.

I really enjoyed the story. While the genre of man against machine is nothing new, the game came up with unsettling ways to bring a breath of fresh air into the mix. Combat mechanics are also nothing new, just a tried and true method but still fun. This game never lets up and barely gives room to breath before something else happens.Where the game falls flat:The dialog is kinda cringe worthy. To me there are too many "bro moments". It’s not terrible but it’s something everyone has seen dozens of time from over the top testosterone filled films. The story paired with the bad dialog is a weird mismatch. Kinda got the feeling they weren’t sure what kind of game they were actually trying to make.Never the less, it was a heap of fun.

The scenario: fight against Amada’s robot army in Neo Tokyo , which is divided into slums and sewers, and the rich and prosperous upper skyline areas.Binary Domain’s gameplay mechanics is really cover-based shooter, think Gears of War. You blind-fire, roadie-run, hop between cover… The controls are fluid and feel good. Add to this an attention to detail: armor shreds into scattered pieces of shrapnel, legs are blown off leaving enemies to drag themselves along. You destroy robots. Lots of robots. They include big robots, small robots, transforming robots…. you get the idea. The makers of the game tried to include into this basic formula 2 new elements: voice commands (think Mass Effect 3, it does not use the kinect, but does it through the headset), and a relationship system between you and your squad mates. How you treat them will determine their performance in battle. For example, if you are at bad terms with one of them, he or she might ignore your commands. There is no co-op for the story, and multiplayer offers the usual deathmatch, CTF, and such… nothing spectacular, but it lengthens the longevity for a bit.Graphics and sound are on par with today’s games so that’s great too.Not a bad game, but it is no blockbuster. I enjoyed it so I give it 5 stars. Buy this game if you have extra cash to spare and are done with other major releases.
