My son loves Bit Trip games, so I was pleased to find this one for the 3DS so he can play it on the go. This game is really difficult in my opinion, but he’s very good at it and enjoys it.

  2. CandiceLuettgen

i love how it has all the bit trip games on it! I only ever really play runner, but the rest of them are awesome too. and the controls are super simple. and its cool how the course matches with the bkg music. i love rhythm based games

This is a good game. I like it.And it is good too. I like to play it. I play games. These games are good. Do you play games? I like them when they are fun. This game is fun. Thank you for asking retrolio.

I got this for $10 and it was well worth the money. All of the games are fun and engaging. Turn the sound up and the virtually pointless 3D off.

The games on this cartridge are very old school. The basic premise of each game is very simple, but mastering the game is difficult. On Runner, for example, you must make it through the each entire several minute level without any errors or you are immediately whisked back to the start. For some reason, I never found myself really getting too frustrated by this even though I would at times have to replay a level a hundred times before I got all the way through. The music, with its chip tunes and consistent beats, allows the player to zone out while playing. The games all work well on the 3ds–easy to pick up and play, but deep enough to stick with for hours.

I have always heard of the bit trip games, and was interested in them, but I was never crazy about just buying one on the Wii or PC for $10 a pop, and I am glad I waited until saga came out. Every one of the 6 games is great, and could be played for hours on end. The 3D effect is not very pronounced, but it doesn’t bother me that much, and now I have 6 great games that I can take with me wherever I go.

I loved Runner on the PC, this is even better, in 3D, and portable. This kind of concentration game should be mandatory or astronauts – I thought my eyeballs would fall out (but in a good way).

Bit.Trip Saga is a compilation featuring six amazing indie games from developer Gaijin. All of them were originally released on the WiiWare service, and all of them contain some of the finest gaming experiences I’ve had this generation, (stylized) retro graphics be damned. If you like addictive, arcade like gaming with beautiful visuals and moving chiptune soundtracks, you’ll LOVE this.Having them on the go is really quite nice, and playing them in 2D is a pretty wonderful experience with headphones. But when one entertains the idea of moving the 3D slider up, well…For some reason, the 3D effect in this game drops the framerate down QUITE a bit for most of the games. It technically works — there is obvious spatial difference between objects, and simply glancing at it is quite entertaining. But these are games that require utmost precision on part of the player, especially Runner, which gets hit the absolute hardest from level one. It’s really unfortunate, because 3D is one of the main reasons most people would buy this in the first place. Also, the slide pad control on Beat and Flux is awful. What should be a more traditional Pong like experience is marred by hilariously over-sensitive controls. Stick to the touch screen (which works QUITE well, I might add).Furthermore, Saga is just lacking in content when one compares it to the Wii compilation Complete. For the same price on the Wii, you get online leaderboards, a soundtrack, different difficulty selections (a must for th.

Totally love the bit trip series. Good 8bit sound track with fresh 8bit graphics mixed with 3d environments, bosses and effects. If you’re a fan of 8bit I recommend.

Grandson loves it! He specifically told me which game to buy – even described the cover to make sure I got the right one.
