  1. Drew

This game has just about everything you could want. The only thing it lacks is more game to play. From the ability to rewind time and be in not just two but SIX places at once, to the brutal magical destruction, not forgetting the many different rifles, machine guns and various swords, this game is amazing. It is somewhat hack and slash, but the story is still great and the game play and array of techniques and combinations with equipment keep you enthralled. Definitely worth the buy.

  2. The Outsider

I played the first one (X Blades), and I got to say that this one is an improvement. Graphics are better, fighting mechanics are better (reminds me of God of War), and for some reason, the developers decided to give the main character an English accent. Maybe they were leaning more towards a Lara Croft-y character. Boss battles are still difficult, and lots of mindless hack n’ slashin’ like the first one.Fun to play if you’re not looking for something too technical, or too easy. (still trying to master the new counter attack system…..)Oh, and the main character is still scantily clad, for all you prepubescent people out there. Enjoy!

  3. Jinchuriki

Fun. Works like normal. No issues. Thanks.

  4. RayPouros

I absolutely love this game! I’m not a gamer but this is pretty sweet only thing I don’t like about it is dying alot. But that could be me since I’m not really a gamer.

  5. AlienZ

This is a fun game; you play Alara a sword wielding warrior girl who goes through a portal looking for treasure and finds lots of trouble instead. your attacks are standard x button y button but the b button is a special attack that you earn as you go through the game. b + y,x,a each do a different power move; fire, ice and electric. but the most unique part of this game is your time rewind ability, by pushing the left button you rewind time making duplicates of yourself for a short period. This is crucial for many parts of the game. Good adventurous fun

Great little game here. Game play is very fun…some fighting techniques take a little getting used to but overall this was very fun to play.

A few years ago I played the demo to X-Blades (the precursor to Blades of Time) and thought it was a nice looking game but it didn’t seem to have much of a story (I still might go back and try the full game someday). I just picked up Blades of Time last week and am only about 5-6 hours into the game, but I must say, it has been really fun! The graphics are well done, the story is interesting enough. The gameplay is solid and there are tons of combos and upgrades as well as hidden chests with interesting items contained within. Overall, for the price, you will be hard pressed to be disappointed. Easily worth $40! Oh, and its already been pointed out by other reviewers, but as someone who can only play games with inverted controls, the demo does not support inverted controls, but the full game does (at least if you have your Xbox default setup that way).
