Remember how it feels after riding on a roller coaster? The smile that doesn’t go away, the exhilaration, and the feeling of having your stomach turned upside down? That’s what this game does to you. Burnout 3: Takedown can be summed up in 3 simple words: Buy this game!I’m not a huge fan of driving/racing simulators, where the goal is to cross the finish line in first place, and that’s it. Call me morbid, but I love nitrous, broken windshields, exploding gas tanks, and parts flying. Put Gran Turismo, Twisted Metal and F-Zero in a blender, and you get Burnout 3: Takedown. Yes, it is a racing game, however, the goal isn’t to just come in first place. Performing “takedowns” of other vehicles is a key ingredient. Bumping and crashing your opponents into walls and guard rails (among other things) and causing their utter destruction not only propels you past them in rank, but earns you boost (nitro) power which is a necessity. In addition, the more opposing cars you takedown, the more points and takedowns you earn to unlock new cars and new tracks. You also earn boost power by driving into oncoming traffic and near misses with non-racing vehicles. The goal is to try and get gold medals in each course or mission. That being said, the other cars can take you down as well, and cause you to lose the race if you fall too far behind. It doesn’t stop there. There are more than just races. There is Crash mode, which in a way, is a puzzle of sorts. You get a designated vehicle, and the goal.

Re-Purchased this game after my old one was scratched. Still very fun – even more than 5 years later! Price was right too.

This is my favorite driving game ever. Well worth a try if you’re in the market. The scenery is realistic as is the driving experience. You can play in race mode or crash mode, offline or online. Rewards are not too hard too get and its not too hard to level up, so you won’t have to get all frustrated like with other games.

Burnout 3 is the fastest racing game I have ever played, and it beats the crap out of Gran Turismo Four. The racing is fast and the graphics are supreme. Crash mode is a blast, and Road Rage is even better.Pros: Great graphicsGameplay is awesomeMusic reigns supremeIt’s plain fast.Cons: Gets very frusterating and hard at times.Five overall.

Was a bit nervous about getting a used Disc. But it actually had only minor scratches. Game works smoothly!

First of all….BUY IT!!!Burnout 3 has some of the best graphics out, the cars are detailed very well and the game moves extremely fast!! (Especially when boosting!!) Some of the physics are a tad odd..! Like when one of the SLOW cars can do 0 – 60 in 1 second…but you’ll only notice them if you’re being picky! There is a feature called Burnout3 World tour. In this you can do a wide range of things, from Crashes, Racing, Takedown, Head to Head etc. There are a lot of the crashing games in World tour so it can get a little bit annoying/boring. The only sad thing is that you can’t do anything to the cars, can’t tune it, can’t pimp it although you can change the colour!! (How great is that?!) And it does take a long time to get into the game. I mean you start off with a pathetic car, and it isn’t all that fun, but when you start unlocking things it suddenly becomes more interesting. It also comes equipped with “Net Play” (which although I haven’t got, is extremely fun)Like I said BUY IT!!

EA takes over the Burnout series and does exactly what you want: make the game faster, longer, more fun, and more violent. Unfortunately, EA also insists on playing a song at EVERY menu in the game, just like they did with all of their sports games, bringing corporate synergy to a new level. You’ll hear one bland rock band after another–it could all be the same band. Awful. The game? The game is excellent. The same buttons, the same concepts, and then some. The game is much, much faster, insanely so. The crashes feature more parts flying, more paint flying, tires, ripping metal, etc, etc. And the more cars you wreck, you get a chance to blow up your own car and cause even more destruction. Nice. They also value ‘takedowns’, meaning just taking out other racers (running them off the road, ramming them, causing more wrecks, etc.)Basically, if you liked the Burnout games, this is a no brainer. Same deal, only more insane. Again, the only thing missing is the bodies flying through the windshields at 200 mph.

This game is my 2nd favorate I’ve ever played! The graphics are mind blowing, one time in party crash mode I crashed as usual and to my amazement a car came along swirved hit a taxi barrel rolled hit a moving van then the moving van backfliped and landed on a 18 wheelers flatbed is that amazeing or what!and I also like that if somebody slams you into a wall you just use the aftertouch feature and slam them into a 19 foot high barrel roll strait into a semi truck, now that’s what I call revenge!!! and I love coop. party crash I’ve even found a dirty little trick that lets you earn lots of money, first you find another player and put them on the other controller then you give them precise directions to not take the jump then tell them to head strait into the first semi or RV that they see then tell them how to aftertouch(if they don’t already know)and tell them to hit any car that’s still driving(if the jump and everything came of right there shouldn’t be many)and to then smash there own car into anything that’s still standing. The highest score I got was around $125 grand.I also love that any money you earn goes to unlocking new things nomatter where you got it.And it’s online capeable now that sounds fun. That’s all I’ve got to say for this game.
