my brother and I used to stay up for like 8 hours straight playing this game, and all games now don’t have the things this game does, really fun and gives you something more to do then to just win the race, aactually have to do something to get boost, yu can knock cars out and you can play 2 player even though I have an Xbox 1 now I still purchased because they went away with 2 players, this game is a classic

If you are still playing your Ps2 and collecting Ps2 games this is a must have game to add your collection. I can’t believe it wasn’t part of my collection years ago. This is one of the most awesome games I ever played on the ps2, and I got over 170+ games and a lot of them are pretty awesome too. I just got the game today and couldn’t get away from it for almost 4 hours, it’s that fun. It reminds me of Need for Speed and Carmageddon (without the gore and pedestrians). I can’t believe how old this game is and some of the graphics seemed to push the limits of the Ps2. The explosions and flying parts etc… are just awesome to look at. Now I know car games on today’s newer systems looks very real and no this isn’t graphically up to par with those. But something about the graphics on this game just scream awesome, I think everything about this game screams awesomeness. The makers of this game showed they really loved what they were doing, and really cared about making this game fun. There is hours and hours of fun to be had here. I bought this games used in like new condition for an awesome retrolio deal. Hurry and get this game before it’s gone you will be glad you did.

Burnout has been one of the most suprising video game series ever since the release of the original Burnout nearly 3 years ago. The combination of high-speed racing and the ability to create some serious havoc when you crash has made both Burnout and Burnout 2: Point of Impact suprise hits. Now that the duties of the Burnout series have been passed down from the now-defunct Acclaim Games to the hands of EA (Electronic Arts)Games, the question of what would happen with future volumes in the series is answered with Burnout 3: Takedown.Takedown takes a few old things that have been Burnout standards and adds a few lovely new twists. One such is the Boost Meter, which fills whenever you make smart and slick driving moves during the race like nearly missing other cars, drifting (taking a curve or turn without gas/braking and leting your momentum carry you through it), driving in oncoming traffic, catching air off huge hills, and causing other racers to crash, which is now referred to as a Takedown. Now the meter is available to use all race long as long as you make sure that you fill it, whereas in the previous games you had to fill it completely to use it.Another new twist is called Aftertouch, which is like Bullet Time for a crash. The instant you crash, you can go into a slow-mo crash mode and use the analog stick to direct your wreck to hit any other racer’s car, causing a Takedown. The only downside is that if you take a racer down, that racer is going to go gunning for y.

The thing I love most about Burnout 3 is the variety. There are several different racing modes you can play:1. Race – obviously, there has to be a mode where you just race, but it’s pretty fun racing. You rack up points and earn boost for taking out, tailgating, and smashing into other opponents, drifting, and driving into oncoming traffic.2. Road Rage – your goal is to take out as many opponent cars as possible before your car is completely totalled. You can also play against a friend, where it’s first to get ten takeouts, or last man standing. This is perfect for those days when you come home all stressed out from sitting in gridlock all day.3. Crash – My personal favorite, there are 100 crash junctions taken from sections of the different courses in the game. You have a specified period of time to cause as much damage as possible. This can also be played with a friend, either co-op or against each other. If you’ve played previous Burnout games and were not impressed, I would still recommend this game because I’ve done the same. Probably the coolest new feature of Burnout 3 is the aftertouch feature, which allows you to control your car in slow motion after you crash, making it easier to take out opponents. This also comes in handy in Crash mode.My only complaint, really, is that the massive amount of traffic in the game makes racing extremely difficult at times. It wouldn’t be so bad if your car crashed every time you even bump a car that is not in the race. If you can get.

This game is great! It is what every racing game should be and more. Fast action, cool cars, wild tracks and one funny in-game DJ make it more fun than other games out there. Add to that many different modes of gameplay (Crash mode being a personal favorite) and you have a game that manages to please a wide range of audiences. The sense of speed in this game is what makes it stand out from the pack. The edges of the screen blur and other drivers whip past you at unreal speeds. Weaving in and out of trafic, drifting around corners and taking out other drivers adds to the excitement…and ultimately to your score. The learning curve is almost non-existent and in game tutorials make is easy to play right out of the box. Add to this intuitive and easy to manipulate controls, buttery smooth framerate, sweet graphics and sleek cars and you have one heck of a winning combination. Many different tasks, races, crahs junctions and takedown races await you, in fact in only 3 hours of playing I have only gotten 16 of the more than 100 medals that the game offers for completing different tasks and challenges.I dont normally play racing games (one look at my reviews will tell you that) but this game is one that I am extremely happy that I purchased. The sense of speed, simplicity of control and awesome graphical quality make this game of the best in any genre. Simply put: Burnout 3: Takedown is one of the BEST games that you can buy. No rental necessary, just add it to your list and.
