but it’s way better than the 2019 gold 9 which is a huge waste of money, massive connectivity problems with the controllers just for the addition of burger time. Though really, when these things first came out it was a nice item for nostalgia at half the price of this one, but really? my blackberry from from fifteen years ago can sort thru menus better than any of these “consoles”. digging thru titles for a specific game is a tremendous mess. No bad on the shop, the item is just lacking.

Almost like I was back in the 70’s playing the original. The controllers and game play are very similar to the original. If you like to throw back to the olden days, this is the system for you. Set-up was easy and selecting games is straight forward. Plenty of options.

A good buy if you are an Atari fan and would like to rekindle some games played while you were kid. My kids also enjoy playing the games.

The Atari Flashback 8 Gold is worth the extra money! You get two wireless controllers and the paddles. Paddles are very difficult to find alone. The fact that you can rewind games and play a few others not available on the regular Flashback 8 makes it a must have for Atari buffs. The HD gives you much better graphics and box art. It also gives you detailed instructions before you play each game. The menu is far superior on this model as well.

Hit of Christmas. So many memories flooded back. An entire library of games – I used to have to buy these one at a time! Wait for Christmas, birthday, for new cartridges! Here’s dozens and dozens, no cartridges! No wires! Remote joysticks! Greatest thing ever. Kids and I love it. So much fun.

This product absolutely brings me back to my childhood. I grew up with the Atari system among all others systems from that day and this is by far a fun system to have and to share with my kids now. My 10 year old enjoys going through all the games. My 2 year old even enjoyed the old Centipede game. Overall this system is great and especially with the wireless controllers. The only thing that happens often is that the buttons on the main controller get bumped during play and causing you to exit the game during play. Also, what I was impressed with was the fact that some of the games are new and have been developed in the 2000’s like YAR’s Return, Atari Climber, Return to Haunted House, and more.
