I’m a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews that I’ve read on this game. Call of Duty 2 took the world by storm when it became the “killer app” of the 360 launch. Often times, it is hard for a sequel to measure up to such a stellar original and I think that COD 3 (unfairly) catches some flak here. First off, the graphics are as good as any that I’ve ever seen on a system (I’ve got Gears of War and a 57″ high def running 1080i and I think COD 3 is in the same class with GOW in terms of graphics). The sound is incredible overall, with a beautiful music score. The vocals have gotten a bit less repetitive in battle situations as well. I enjoyed the driving levels and you get to fight as Americans, British, Canadians and Polish in a variety of missions, which was pretty cool as well. I do miss the North Africa missions from COD 2 and the Russian front missions. I have not yet tried the multiplayer, but I have heard good things. All in all, COD 3 may not have quite the charm of COD 2, but it is a very polished, excellent game and fans of the former definitely need to check out the sequel.

Call of Duty 3 is a fun but some what frustrating game. you play as polish, american, british, and other soldiers from different countrys. you are fighting in the normandy war and you must defeat N*za(blurred that out because its a offensive word to say) forces. At the start, you are taught how to play and you are trained a little. the battles are fun but some hard and confusing. the graphics are actually not to bad and the voice acting is very good for a old COD game. there is no blood in this game witch i find awesome. veteran mode is really hard and impossible to beat so i recommend private mode. the game is pretty fun.

I love this game. It’s the graphics really stand out and I the single player is great. But the Multiplayer live 12 on 12 is amazing. It’s an easy game to pick up but tricky to master. You will have a lot of fun with this game and is well worth the purchase.

After playing through Call of Duty 2 and completing it and then playing Call of Duty 3 all the way through I would have to say that the single player of #3 just wasn’t up to standards, some parts were too easy and other parts too hard. That isn’t so bad, but the reasons for parts being too hard doesn’t seem to be just good AI programming. It just feels as though they made some spots impossible without actually making it the AI hard to beat. However, the multi-player for Call of Duty 3 is great. You can play with up to 12 players a side and as several different types. Light Assault, Heavy Assault, Scout, Support, Medic and Anti- Tank. Each type has special abilities. Most of the maps are pretty fun to play on as well. The different types of games to play keeps it fresh too: War, capture the flag, battle, team battle and headquarters all make for different types of strategies. Both of the downloadable packs of maps are also very good, which also gives the game more options for play.

…compared to Call of Duty 2.Where another user called Call of Duty 3 a big expansion pack of Call of Duty 2, I see it as not only another game, but another series altogether. This is due probably to the change in companies who produced the game.Compared to Call of Duty 2, COD3 feels like it comes from a different franchise. About the only similarities with the original are the same controls, map, and grenade detection. The graphics are neither superior nor inferior to Call of Duty 2, but the weapons are completely re-done, and have new sounds to them altogether. The missions do feel less stimulating, focused more on following the obvious terrain design to go and kill more Nazis, and occasionally get into contests over your rifle with them, in which you must press buttons back and forth to overpower them.Multiplayer is much more frustrating here than in COD2, as a new weapon can be picked, a rocket launcher, and vehicles can be used. This leads to people immediately going for tanks, and proceeding to make the map hell on others either not quick enough to destroy the tanks, or feel that a game based on infantry battles should maybe be fought with infantry, and not exclusively in tanks. Also adding to multiplayer difficulty is the new sniper scope. Some of the positive reviewers complain that the sniper scopes in Call of Duty 2 make the sniper rifle into something of a superweapon, with flawless aim and one-hit kills. I disagree entirely in that while it is easy to master,.
