Par for the course, I would say.I wasn’t enthralled with the campaign mode, but then I never am; it’s always so clear in call of duty where the "triggers" are in a level. You can sit in one place all day and fire rounds to your heart’s content, but the enemy will keep respawning until you move up 5 feet behind that other jeep. It ends up feeling like a really cheap experience that encourages you to just run and gun. It is what it is, I guess.Multiplayer is obviously the biggest draw for this one. Although there are many more options and perks, I find it less enjoyable than the past versions. It’s far too easy for someone to kill you–you seem to take about half the damage as in previous games, which makes for very quick turnover and some rapid score upsets. I could easily get 8-10 kill streaks in MW3, but in this game, you’re lucky if you get 5 unless the matchmaking happened to be really unbalanced.

I love this game. I’m not a big gamer. I get bored with most games and I do not play online. I like to play this game on local splitscreen vs. bots sometimes alone or with my wife or my brother when he comes to town. A lot more fun to play this way than in the first black ops because the bots are more like real players. I like to put it on recruit and disable all explosives and just dominate and see how many kills I can rack up. A lot of fun. The guns are better than black ops and the graphics better too. My only complaint is the maps are terrible. Very hard to find a place to sit without someone coming from behind and shooting you in the back. Would like someday to be able to create your own maps (or atleast customize them or move stuff around) someday on a future version of call of duty.

This is coming from the perspective of someone who has not bought any of the previous COD games until this one. I know other reviewers who are experienced COD players have criticized the game for various reasons such as familiarity between concepts used in previous games. Whether they are right or wrong, I do not know, but I will say for the first time COD player, this game is a great experience! I played the single player campaign mode under the easiest setting since it was my first time. I can say for the most part that I really enjoyed the campaign experience. The story flows like an actual movie. at times it almost feels like you are actually in the game, and some of the levels are suspenseful and challenging, which is what I enjoy about it. I won’t spoil the ending of the story but I do wish it had a different ending. I would’ve liked to have had a few more challenges added in there to make it feel more like an adventure. I enjoy the various environments that you travel through during the campaign. The audio is great, and the visuals are pretty good too. All around a good experience!

Everyone rips on Ghosts being a terrible game. I find it pretty enjoyable even if the TTK is a little fast. I normally claim to be an MW2 guy, but after playing Ghosts, even MW2 hit detection seems a little off, so good job on that. There are a handful of good multiplayer maps and of course the bad ones everyone votes against.People have complained about the maps being too big. I don’t really see this being an issue. Sounds like a lot of people don’t know how to move across a map without running directly through the middle of open areas. Depending what gamemode you play, spawns are meh. If you have a team that knows what they’re doing, you can spawn people where you want – which is how it’s supposed to be. If you’re playing with people that just run and spread out the map, it leaves the game no choice but to offer bad spawns. Sometimes spawns are questionable, but that’s usually the players’ lack of understanding of spacing.I dislike the lack of connection bars CoD usually shows in multiplayer games so you can check your connection to the host. Odd that they take it out. I’ve got good internet so it’s fine for me but I have heard many lag complaints.Haven’t played single player but the roommate said it was pretty good.Overall I enjoy the game – definitely more so than AW. I think a lot of people gave into the hivemind that this game is terrible and don’t really form their own opinions. It’s $10. I’ve gotten my monies worth and then some.

There is a lot about this game to love, and only a few things not to. It has an amazing campaign (although I enjoyed the Modern Warfare 1/2/3 storylines better personally) and the new dynamic multiplayer maps are awesome… unfortunately, it only supports two players in offline multiplayer when the Black Ops games allowed four (Which is a huge disappointment since I used to always play Black Ops II with my sister and father offline, and now we cannot all three play at once) although it obviously allows more in an online match. It also no longer supports fullscreen like previous games, but to be fair widescreen has been the standard for quite awhile now so it was going to happen eventually anyway. Like plenty of players have noticed, the campaign feels like "more of the same" from past games at times… but it is still very enjoyable and offers plenty of new experiences that the games before it didn’t offer.Overall, this is an amazing game and is well worth the money in my opinion. I’ve played the three Modern Warfare games and the two Black Ops games, and I consider Ghosts to easily be a worthy successor and a great next step in the Call of Duty series.

I’ve played through it several times now. Such an awesome game, so detailed. Some thoughts on it.- I liked the custom loadout going into each level in BO2, and Ghosts doesn’t have a custom loadout at all, you just go in with a standard loadout each level. I like of like not having to think about the loadout, it’s just different.- The game seems short. It still takes a while to get through the whole game, but it just ‘seems’ shorter. I can get through Ghosts in a couple of nights (normal playing, I’m not an all-nighter) where it may have taken me a few nights to get through BO2 and previous CODs. I’m sure the amount of detailed content plays into that a little.- I liked the variety of alternate endings in BO2 and I think they could have done that with Ghosts too with the story the way it is and people encountered along the way. The ending seems really light the way it is, which was just a really short prep-up for Ghosts 2 i’m sure.

i honestly dont understand why there is so much hate for this game. It was one of the greatest call of duty games i have ever played. The new multiplayer is great, there are alot of huge maps which is a little irritating when your trying to do free for all, but great for search and destroy. I’m so glad they finaly put bots in call of duty by infinity ward, not trearch (I was never a fan of any of the black ops.) The bots do act more like humans, they camp, drop shot and use throwing knives. But there have been times they have been annoying, for example i will be running past cardboard boxes, and a bot will instantly turn and snipe me throgh the boxes. Like the other reviews said you do die quite easily. But wheres the real challage if you dont? Its a great game but not really for those who have just started playing call of duty. But everyone has a different skill level. The whole squads thing i cant really do beacuse im not connected to Xbox live(another reason im greatful for the bots) The weapons in multiplayer all stink except the sub’s and snipers but its still fun.Theres only pistols and rocket launchers as you secondarys which is disapointing to me, i almost always used machine pistols but oh well. Now the story isnt that great. I think it was more of a let down to me beacuse im one of those people who looks up everything i can about the game before i get it. So i was kind of let down when the said an award winning writer was doing the story for ghosts, but it wasn’t as.

Despite all the haters, this was a great CoD game. The multiplayer was the best it has ever been, and the campaign was quite nice as well, though a bit short. Definitely worth the $13 (last time I checked) buy on retrolio, as people still play MW2, 3, and even the original MW, you can probably expect to be able to play the Ghosts multiplayer for a long time still. There is also an extremely fun "Extinction" mode (essentially zombies with aliens and an objective, however it plays much better in my opinion and is much more fun), but they only included 1 map with the base game. That was quite a rip off. The other maps were included with the "map pack" DLCs, likely as a way to force you to buy them for that content, knowing that many of us hate map pack DLC and do not wish to pay extra for it, when the price is so outrageous! I refused to purchase the $50 season pass ($60 buying all 4 separate) until it was on sale for $25.When you look at it objectively, I think people are just nostalgic about the older games. When I think back on them, CoD 4 was always my favorite, but objectively, the games have been progressively getting better.

I been playing COD since a long time, and I dont know why people complains that much about this COD, I enjoyed MW2 a lot and BO but this one was my favorite (Campaing thing)… I had 2 copys of this game for xmas for friends and they just loved it too, and they have played many COD’s before so I just dont get all the hater people and what they have against this version of COD. Havent played multiplayer a lot, was an ok experience but i just loved "Extincion".Now that I own the xbox one, even when I have play throught all the campaing twice, I got this game again but in prestige edition which I liked a lot, most reason cause the "extintion" mode. Cant wait to use Predator and Michael Mayer DLC which are included in the season pass.

I am a die hard COD fan. I buy everyone that comes out and honestly if it wasn’t for COD I wouldn’t even be that into video games. I think Ghosts has some of the best gameplay yet. I’ve spent the most time on it compared to any COD yet, replay is awesome, prestiging now makes sense in that you can use your points to purchase your favorite guns/perks right at level 1. This is a huge advantage over other COD’s.I will admit that the first 2 hours of playing Ghosts I hated it and went back to Black Ops II. Just give it a chance, learn it’s advantages and gameplay and you will love it in no time as I did.I only play Hardcore and while this game isn’t perfect – annoying respawn rates on HD matches, it’s better than any other COD to date IMO. It’s constantly played in my house and the 360 hasn’t been used this much before on a game to date.
