I bought this for my boyfriend, and can’t remember how he felt about this game but he played a lot of this, it looked pretty cool

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a game set right at the end of the Civil War. Two brothers, Ray and Thomas McCall, are soldiers fighting for the South in the Civil War. Pretty soon after they kick some Union butt, they desert to protect their family’s house in Georgia from Union looters. One thing leads to another and they set off in search of treasure somewhere in mexico to rebuild their family home. They run into a whole bunch of guys on the way and pretty much kill most of them. The story does kind of have a twist in the ending, which makes it more memorable than if it didn’t. ok that’s enough about the story, the rest you can find out for yourself. Now, about the game play. You can usually choose either brother to play for the mission. Ray can wield two sixguns at once and use dynamite, but isn’t that great at rifles. He is slow but powerful. Thomas is better at using rifles and can use a lasso to get to high places, but he can’t dual wield guns or use dynamite. He is quick but weaker than Ray. Personally, I like Ray better because he can pack twice as more of a punch when he carries two pistols. Most of the game is close quarter combat, and having two guns out at once helps a lot. There are two instances where it is an open world place where you can do whatever you want, like purchasing upgrades or completing side missions for $$. Otherwise, it is more of a closed world, where you have freedom to move around inside a town or village, but can’t leave it.

Good Old West game. Make me channel my inner Clint Eastwood.

Thanks for the review by Parental Rights. I completely agree. This was fun. The change from one brother to the other was great. Plan ahead as each has his own strengths. I have enjoyed the series since the first and this is the best yet. If you are looking for a different kind of shooter in first person you will like this one. The one on one gunfights alone make it worth playing again.

Great game. Fun to play. The story kept me going. The graphics not the best I have ever seen. But fun game.

Since Western themed games come out once every blue moon, the wait better be worth it. This game IS worth the 2 yr wait. Terrific story and acting, top notch gameplay (never a problem knowing what to do or where to go),and user friendly controls for skill levels of all types make this my sleeper hit of 2009. Graphics are sharp as well. I highly recommend Call Of Juarez Bound in Blood, i just wish game developers would flood the market with westerns like they do with WWII shooters every 3 months. C’mon guys, the WWII genere is soooo outplayed. Do yourself a favor and play this game.

This game is great overall. Awesome graphics and scenery. The gameplay is tight and the story is pretty good. There were alot of good ideas that I think could have been expanded. There are a few spots where you break from the story and get to explore with side missions. I think this could have been done more. Also I think they could have given more opportunities to use things like throwing knives and the rope. Maybe some stealthier levels in the mix or something. But it’s a great game and definitely sets itself apart from the rest of the FPS games out now.
