Came early as described, great graphics! Brings back memories of the old days. This is nearly an exact replica of the old Pokemon Yellow in modern graphics. The Pokemon catching system is no longer battle based, but is now like Pokemon Go which can at times be frustrating. However, seeing the wild Pokemon in the grass and in caves is a godsend. I miss being able to store Pokemon on a computer though I like being able to send extras to Oak for rewards. There some functions from previous games that I miss but I realize this is more of a filler game until the next actual Pokemon game is out.

I was hesitant about this game and more excited about the mainline game yet to be released but now I’m apprehensive about the next game. Let’s Go Pika is what I’ve wanted for a long time but just didn’t know it. I didn’t realize how drawn out catching Pokémon in the previous games was until I played LGP. I like that it’s been simplified in terms of time and honestly some of the little turd Pokémon still have me wasting 10 Pokeballs. I like being able to avoid battling wild Rattatas after catching 10 of them. I like being able to always see my Pokémon box and not have to go to special locations to change my main party. I like that it’s not backbreaking (time intensive) to level up new Pokémon to Switch things up. I like that I can focus on catching them all and not worry about my berry farm or who know what else. The graphics are fantastic. I can play on my TV- and it’s great. Playing in handheld is also fantastic. The motion controls are fun ( even though I don’t foresee myself partaking too often). The game plays smoothly. This game has a lot going for it that is good and as a fan of previous titles there is definitely room for this game in the Pokémon lineup. My only wishes would be that online trade was easier but I haven’t spent much time or effort messing around with it. Overall this game is awesome and I feel like it will be a good value for the money. Don’t listen to the haters- there’s plenty to be happy about with this title.

I am really enjoying this game and the pokeball plus is a fun way to play it. There are two things that are holding me back from giving this a 5 star review though. I do not like how this game requires you to pay 40$ extra for Mew and the fact that it doesn’t have cloud save support at all. Pokemon is one of those games I can easily put over 100+ hours into so to have no save data backup is frustrating. I hope Nintendo fixes this issue but I doubt it will.

This game is the actual cartage that goes inside of the Nintendo Switch, not a digital download. This game is so nostalgic! It reminds me of when I was in middle school and got Pokemon Yellow on my Gameboy Color many years ago (I’m a 30 yr old female), venturing through Kanto like the olden days, but seeing that region in a whole new light through the Nintendo Switch!

I absolutely love it. I actually like not battling wild Pokemon, it removes a lot of the grind while keeping integrity and mechanics in the game, you still have to work for it and you still gain experience after catching. Keep in mind this is back to basics Pokemon, before breeding and abilities and before gimmicks like z moves and mega evolutions. As someone who has played Pokemon from the original titles, this is a great adaptation of Pokemon yellow. Keep in mind this isn’t a true core title, it’s meant to work with Pokemon Go, but it’s a great way to introduce the series to first time players and being able to play with my daughter is an absolute blast.

I bought this for my nephews to get them into Pokemon and for the meltan box for Pokemon Go. I haven’t played any Pokemon video game since Pokemon silver. I played through it and I absolutely love it. I love the walking into Pokemon to attempt to capture it. I love the fact that Pikachu acquires the special moves and we dont have to waste a move space for an hm like before. I love the ride Pokemon because I’ve always wanted to ride Charizard! I love the fact you must fight the legendary Pokemon to even attempt to catch it. This game was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait for Pokemon Sword and Shield if they borrowed a few things from Pokemon Let’s Go! Oh yeah and my nephews and nieces are totally into Pokemon now, it’s totally epic.

I personally disliked how Pokemon Go worked when it first came out but Pokemon Lets Go made me appreciate how unique the catching mechanic is. Its easy to pick up and easy to level up your Party compared to traditional battling, making it a good mechanic on a mobile get-up-and-go platform like the Switch. The game is asethetically pleasing and really exemplifies how far the Pokemon main franchise can be pushed to create a beautiful game. Not only that, but you can see all 152 pokemon in game, Something we got a small tease with for other gens and remakes and that’s now physically possible for all pokemon present! However don’t be expecting a traditional pokemon experience with this game, as I’d argue that Pokemon Let’s Go is easier than the other games in the series. However, it definitely doesnt undermine the fun you can have with this game.

Everyone who is leaving 1 star reviews obviously did not read the product description. It clearly says you catch pokemon by throwing pokeballs, no battle involved. It also clearly says the pokemon roam free in the wild, so no random encounters. If those things “ruin” the game for you, DON’T BUY IT. However, if you’re looking for a fun, relaxing journey down memory lane, this is definitely worth your time. I’m 31 and grew up with pokemon, and I am thoroughly enjoying this game. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt; there are a lot of internet trolls out there.

Both Eevee and Pikachu are the same games, but you will enjoy the game.

As a 23 year old guy, I still love playing Pokémon games and this one was really exciting to me because it’s an imagining of everything I saw when I played Pokémon Yellow the first time. The updated graphics and game mechanics appeal heavily to old and new fans alike by making the game a simpler and easier experience to play. Beyond the main story there isn’t much to see except the Legendary encounters and Master Trainers, but the trade features with Pokémon Go allow the game to change in other ways you couldn’t have seen without it. Overall it was an incredibly enjoyable time, and I would recommend it for anyone looking to feel more involved in the Pokémon world than ever before.
