This ia amodern day pokemon yellow. You catch pokemon, level them, battle with them. You go around, collect badges, beat Team Rocket, beat the elite four, capture mewtwo. Catching pokemon is like Pokemon go, nd I was skepticle at first. Itr works great in action. Battles are the same as the rest of the core series. Definitely worth purchase. Loved it.

Although this isn’t a main series game, I think it was totally worth the buy. Serious gamers might find the game a little easy, but I think it’s got a good balance for beginning, causal and young gamers. I think it’s interesting that the players in-game “rival” has now become a very friendly.Pros:-Low challenge game, letting the player relax and have fun reliving the nostalgia of the past.-Parents of small children will find the two player features great! Your child can run along side you and actually help you catch Pokemon and fight trainers (without hindering your progress!)-Being able to take Pokemon out of their poke balls to ride or walk is a lot of fun, I think kids will really enjoy that feature.-Connects to Pokemon Go(no limit how many accounts can connect!) and lets you transfer Pokemon in. You can achieve 100% in this game even if you don’t have access to Let’s Go Eevee.Cons:-Low challenge game. This game might be boring or uninteresting to more skillful players.-There doesn’t seem to be a way to change the outfit on the second player. They are just dressed to as the opposite gender doppelganger of the main player. The can also get lost off camera.-The map is awkward to access. They just threw it in the item pocket and it acts like any other item. It’s not even anchored to the top of the list, so it can get lost under your items.-Connecting to Pokemon Go can be tricky depending on your phone and it’s Bluetooth capabilities. As a bonus, we don’t have to feel guilty a.

I’ve only played this enough to get to Veridian Forrest and so far I love it! The music has been redone beautifully, the pesky random encounters gone and catching Pokémon is pretty fun. I’m an avid fan of Pokémon since red and blue days, yes I’m 30 years old now and I love this reimagining of Yellow. I can’t wait to get my kids from school today and immerse them into one of my favorite worlds. Good job Game Freak. You done good!

First off, if you’re coming into this expecting a full pokemon game with 7 generations worth of generations then obviously you read nothing about this game and I’m sorry, but that’s not what it is.What this game does however is bring to the table a simplified version of the game with mechanics that serve to test out innovative new ideas in a way that doesn’t completely derail the series. Honestly, if you compare these games to the ones that they are remaking, they are more complicated. There are the IV’s that have always been around, awakening values that take the place of the stat experience from the original games or EV’s in the more recent entries into the series. The are nature’s a feature lacking from the original series, but which add a bit more depth to the strategy. There is a post game, albeit only a bit more than was found in the original games. All in all it is a remake of a classic game designed to pull people in the same way that the originals did through a simple compelling story and the adventure of trying to catch ’em all. That being said however some things were a letdown. Much of the additional content from previous remakes was cut, the post game was not improved to an especially noticeable degree and the multiplayer features are lacking. Was it everything any diehard pokemon fan could dream of? Of course not, and it was never meant to be and never marketed as such. What it is however is a sandbox for testing radical ideas while at the same time bringing acces.

Okay, as an ORIGINAL Pokemon video gamer, this was like… A DREAM COME TRUE!Overall, I’d say this game is pretty awesome. It is MOSTLY like to original, of course with the added bonuses of being able to ride certain pokemon, and the great visual affects, etc. A couple things to note:PROS:- You can actually SEE the Pokemon in the grass, so you can avoid them if that’s not your thing (to encounter wild pokemon which we all know is a hassle especially when you just wanna get stuff DONE)- Riding pokemon is pretty fun-Pikachu learns ALL The special techniques (i.e.: Fly, Surf, Cut, Strength, Flash). Which is GREAT! Because you know… You don’t have to have a random pokemon in your party for JUST the techniques.- The Pokemon Box is ON YOUR PERSON. Which means you can switch pokemon out of your party at ANY time! Instead of needing to go to the Pokemon Center every time.- Catching Pokemon gives your pokemon EXP. And battling trainers gives ALL the pokemon in your party EXP, EVEN IF THEY DIDN’T BATTLE! — Great for leveling up weaker pokemon just for the evolutionary forms- “Rarer” pokemon appear WAY more easily than in original version.CONS:- They made the catching of pokemon BASICALLY a duplicate of Pokemon Go (the mobile game). So you don’t have to battle it down (which a bit of a pro in the beginning when all the pokemon are levels 3 and 4). I am listing this as a con BECAUSE when you get to the tougher pokemon, sometimes it is nice to be able to battle them down so that they.

It’s a fun Pokemon game. Pretty simple to master, you don’t need to worry too much about “having the best team” for every gym, because your starter can pretty much handle them all with enough heals. It’s definitely an easier gen 1 remake (not a direct port though, as their are differences between the original games and this).

This game has brought back good old memories when I was younger, during the era where pokemon on game boy was a fad. There’s a few negative about this game, when you encounter a pokemon, you go straight to catching them instead of battle to weaken it. Rivals are too nice, all 6 pokemon in your list get a participate trophy instead switching them to work them out to get stronger. I feel like I went through this game and beat it without any struggles. This why I took a star out. Overall, graphic, walk through, get to battle with gym leaders anytime you want, is awesome.

There is only trainer vs trainer fights. No random fights. You can see Pokemon in the wild but you catch them Pokemon Go style with a random chance.I played through the game in a few days and felt some nostalgia. I can’t complain too much.

My daughter and I both enjoy this game, but I wish we weren’t limited to using the Joy-Cons. It is a beautiful (and nostalgic for me) trip to Kanto. I loved seeing the Pokemon in the overworld, although I wasn’t ecstatic about the capturing mechanic. I wasn’t a fan of needing to use Pokemon Go to get Meltan and Melmetal because I live in an area where there aren’t many Pokemon on Pokemon Go, therefore I don’t really play it. This game isn’t perfect, but its still a fun ride.

I’ve been a Pokemon fan since 97. Every year me and my wife get the new core Pokemon game and become obsessed with it for a few weeks. This game is so much better than I imagined. The Pokemon go style catching is actually really cool, and gives the game some variety. The graphics are the best Pokemon has ever looked. So glad I bought this. It’s good for old fans and new
