I played original yellow when it was released. This is a great game. Battles feel good graphics are awesome.I wasnt sure at first either after hearing how the game changed more towards Pokemon! Go. It’s a great change and adds fun to the game, adds the ability to increase pokemon levels on the search for shiny pokemon.Give it a try your self. I think you’ll like it more. It eliminates one of the layers of rng so you dont waste time searching for specific pokemon. This is a 9/10 game for me personally.

This is a great remake of the original red/blue version. It’s less tedious, and of course it looks much better. The motion controls for capturing are an unwelcome addition, but they’re not too bad. Overall, this is a great bit of nostalgia. I’m not sure how great it is if you’re not a big fan of the original Pokemon though.

Very beautiful game, finally a game giving us what we all wanted as kids: beautiful 3D battles, riding on our pokemons, not spending hours training pokemons. The 2 players mode will allow kids to join you on the most beautiful pokemon game so far.Just wondering why they removed the slot machines tho

I started with an old school “big boy” in that retro beige and Pokemon Blue. I always started out finding a Pikachu and use that as my main. Later Pokemon Yellow came out offering just that but with more or less the same old graphics and story. I later got a 3DS and some more modern Pokemon titles, but they never stuck. I still yearned for my favorites in high fidelity. Enter Let’s Go. Pikachu! It’s more or less that same old story line, Pokedex, and gym set up with a revamped map and technology of modern times. I do miss the mechanic of battling wilds and kids these days don’t know how good they have it when you used to have to go to a computer to switch your line up. They have to buy Mew. They may never know the true wonder of MissingNo. Ultimately the nostalgia has it’s firm grip on me and this game fills a small void as I enter middle adulthood.

This game is as good as it looks. Graphics are great, fully 3d Pokemon game for the 2nd time on the Switch since Pokken tournament was ported first. Catching mechanic is a little tough as you can’t just throw the ball however you want, if you do then the Pokeball is more likely to be thrown and miss entirely. The fact that you can play it using a Pokeball based controller is awesome. This is a must have for any Pokemon fan if thier interested

Everyone needs this game. It is a very addicting entry to the Pokèmon series, which is fun for old fans of the series and newcomers alike. The world feels very alive, teeming with Pokèmon that you can see, instead of random encounters. Pikachu looks very cute during cutscenes, and he reacts to different things, like winning a battle. Overall, everyone needs this game.

I had been extremely concerned about this game. I’ve been a Pokemon fan all my life, and I’ve played every main series game to date and most of the spin-off games. It should also be noted that I generally go out of my way to avoid change whenever possible. I had been worried about this game ever since they announced there would be no wild battles and Go-style capture methods, and removal of items, breeding, and abilities only worried me more. I am more than pleased to be able to say I was wrong! If you go into this game knowing what you’re getting into, it’s a pretty strong entry.Cons:-Removing the GTS but keeping version-exclusive Pokemon does not sit well with me.-Capturing Pokemon with the Joy-Cons can be kind of wonky. I’ve beat the game and I’m still not able to consistently aim at Pokemon when they move to the side of the screen.-I’m not a fan of how they removed breeding.-It leans on the easy side (but if you do what I did and avoid catching wild Pokemon, this aspect gets much better. It’s very much a game where you can set your own difficulty and play at your own pace. There are a lot of things they did to make the game more accessible, but you can get around almost all of them if you want to).-I can see why they made this choice, but limiting the game to 152 Pokemon does feel a little restrictive.Pros:-Your partner Pokemon is just great. This is one of my favourite aspects. In Yellow, it felt too much like someone had dumped Ash’s Pikachu in front of me and told me.

i was really hesitant to buy this due to all the mixed reviews, especially from lifelong players like myself! however, i’m really glad i did. ive only been playing two days, but i am loving the game. it’s such a fun nostalgic kick and the graphics are beautiful. are the trainer battles a bit easy? yes. but honestly, it doesnt detract from my enjoyment at all — and i love seeing pokemon just walk freely around the game!

I usually like to base my reviews on some of the most prominent things I’ve heard about the game and either support those ideas or tear them down.More so than probably any other Pokémon game I’ve seen, LGPE (Let’s Pikachu and Eevee) have really divided fans, so there are an awful lot of negative criticisms I’d like to address.1.) The game is too easy – So, I would tend to agree that the game is fairly easy in some aspects. Since you can’t turn off experience share, you level quickly. However, this mechanic helps you to quickly build up new members of your team. Say you get a level 12 Charmander, and the rest of your team is level 20. Well, you can quickly get that Charmander up to speed instead of it being now completely unviable. Actually catching pokemon is not that easy, but I’ll get into that with my next point. I will say that I’m not even through Vermillion City yet, and I’m way over-leveled. It’s hard to gauge how bad that is though because I am a completionist. I like to battle every single trainer. I am very often over-leveled in every Pokémon game I play.2.) No wild battles! This isn’t Pokémon without wild battles! – To this I say, nah, bro. I’m completely fine with it. The tedium of running into tons of wild zubats in Mt. Moon still exists because pokemon can appear in the overworld all the time. I was always the type to carry repels and run from every zubat battle. So, I think this mechanic is at least equal to what normal wild battles were. I much.

This is a fun game but it has its flaws. To me it is worse than any of the handheld pokemon RPGs (while still being an enjoyable game!) Now you run into the wild pokemon to get into fights which is okay, but there is no battling them at all. Now you just throw pokeballs at them right away. Even worse, they changed how you catch them too. Now you have to use motion controls (because who doesnt like doing that? -_-) and aiming can be wonky. Overall the game feels like it has less content than the 3DS games. Was still fun going through Gen 1 with nice graphics (still looks very close to 3DS graphics IMO) but hopefully the next game will be mich better and they go back to regular battles and catching.
