The game provided great replay value, a fun story mode, and a challenging puzzle modeCatherine pretty much guarantees you will play through it several times.

Catherine is a great game with an incredibly engaging storyline. It’s part text-based and part puzzle game, with heaps of beautifully rendered cutscenes in between. The player generally chooses his or her path through the game, and it’s fun to see how your choices affect the storyline. My only caution is that the game does contain adult themes, so I wouldn’t recommend it for a younger audience.

I was hesitating buying this game around 3 years and finally I decided to get it and don’t have anything to regret about it. One of the best games that you can play on X360. Totally recommended. ps: "I have beaten the game"

i bought this game for my cousin and she loves it , very interactive and it is also an anime in the game she has gone through 3 different endings already and she is still in love with it .this is a great game to buy , but i do advise that you are over15 or 16 cause there is some scenes not for the younger groups..

Catherine can be a very challenging game but it is very fun and interesting nonetheless. Gameplay is very simple as far as controlling your character, Vincent. The puzzles can be complex even on normal gameplay mode. There are multiple endings to this game to keep you interested in playing it over and over. Fortunately, the developers put in place a skip feature to bypass the puzzles if you already have a gold award for that stage on normal difficult. This allows you to just follow the story to make the different choices to see the various ends. Bottom line: if you like mind/puzzle games, this is a must buy game.

The four stars is for the game not your services. Your service was perfect I didn’t have to wait long and the item was in perfect running condition.

I went to GameStop and asked for a game like Portal or Quantum Conundrum, and was handed this. I was a bit skeptical about an anime title, as I haven’t played one before, and I haven’t played one with "sexual themes" on the ESRB tag either. However, I was pleasantly surprised as Catherine proved to be not only deeper in storyline but also a lot more fun to play than almost any other game in recent memory. The plot follows Vincent Brooks, a 32-year-old computer programmer whose girlfriend’s family is pressuring them to get married, and Katherine, the girl, is starting to side with her parents. Feeling the pressure, he goes out drinking with some buddies- and wakes up with a strange girl in his bed whose name is Catherine. Confused, he tries repeatedly to get rid of her as he doesn’t think he would cheat on Katherine even when drunk. However, she manages to stick around and then threatens to kill him if she finds out there’s another girl. This is only the second or third day. Vincent starts having nightmares, and hears stories of young men in the area who were cheating on their women and died in their sleep after recurring nightmares. You play the game as Vincent, trying to figure out what is going on with his love life as well as the mysterious deaths, which continuously get closer and closer to home. The nightmares are the meat of the game, giant towers you have to climb by moving blocks, sometimes being chased by some boss who is Vincent’s mental recreation of a proble.

as advertised perfect

Vincent is a 32 year old slacker who finds himself being pressured by his long time girlfriend, Katherine, to tie the knot. Not seeing the need to rush into marriage while they have a good thing going, Vincent tries to drink away his problems at a bar with his buddies. Vincent later goes home and begins experiencing terrifying nightmares and on several occasions awakens to a nude Catherine in his bed.The objective of each level is to climb a massive tower, by maneuvering blocks to create steps. The tower is divided up by 9 floors, Vincent must clear a floor safely in order to clear the stage and escape the nightmare for that night. But the thing is, if Vincent dies in his nightmare, he dies in real life as well. All this is only further complicated by the fact that each stage has a certain amount of levels that ends with a terrifying boss. These bosses take the form of Vincent’s fears.Catherine is not an easy game, with things becoming more challenging in the later levels when various effect blocks are thrown into the mix. But don’t let that scare you away. On the easy setting, Catherine at times can be a frustrating experience, but I never had to use more than 5 retry’s on a level. The game also features an undo function on easy, allowing you to undo your last move up to 9 times. I imagine the normal and hard modes could prove to be unbearably challenging, because I often was forced to use the undo feature. Even with the frustration, solving the puzzles in Catherine has prov.

Typically I think Atlus games look cool but are never very much fun. Well, they hit the nail on the head and slammed the ball out of the park when they made Catherine. I play a lot of games throughout the year and typically don’t walk away with much of an impact having been placed upon me- Catherine made sure to change that. I didn’t expect the game to hit US shores when I first saw the trailer. It seemed a bit too raunchy and overall like something that American companies wouldn’t produce because it wasn’t another crappy sequel to a cover based shooter covered in brown and grey graphics. Thank goodness it did.I can honestly say that out of what I played so far (and since all the carbon copy sequels coming out this fall do not interest me) I call Catherine my Game Of The Year [GOTY!]. I can back that up with almost every aspect. There wasn’t a thing about this game I did not enjoy. Firstly, let me review the product.I got the “Love is Over” edition from retrolio and don’t regret it a single bit. The shirt fit nicely (which is SO uncommon since companies assume gamers are obese and ship them with XL-XXL shirts if one is included) but the boxers were much too small for me. I found it odd the boxers didn’t fit since they were a large and I wear a medium… not true to size at all. As for the pillow case, I am an awkward individual and currently have it enveloping one of my pillows (but am upset the reverse side didn’t have Katherine on it). The sound disc is exactly that. It’s not.
