I played this on my brother’s 3ds 4 years ago and finally bought my own copy.My cart came as the Welcome Amiibo edition, so it’s not what I asked for, but it doesnt really bother me. My copy from J&S – VGS shipped very quickly and it works great. Amazing memories..
1st Animal Crossing Game. It’s really chill and a lot of fun. Has gotten my daughter into gaming, as well.

Where to start, dear readers if you ever played and enjoyed any sort of Animal Crossing, chances are you’re pretty much will enjoy this type of game already. While this version of Animal Crossing on the 3DS offers a few more things to do than the other version and with some selection of map layouts of your choice, so in some sense of customization on how you want to roll with this version of the game.However, I can’t give this game a full 5 stars, even though most people would say this game is "Awesome", it is in a way. So some downside to the game as follow; First up is the graphic it’s ok for the most part but you will notice the low res on backgrounds and on some objects granted they cram a lot of stuff into this game so the low res of textures is forgivable for the most part. The town folks don’t really help you out much nor do they pay taxes so you’re pretty much paying for everything yourself as the so-called Mayor of the town. SO therefore, the majority of the gameplay revolves around you either fishing/ bug catching/ digging/ tree shaking/ seashell selling/ tree growing and fruit selling/ and farming. "Farming!!" wait there is NO farming, aww j_j one more reason for the lost of one star. Another thing, is the size of the map it felt pretty small in my opinion and the way how the world is on a roller and with no camera control make it harder to look for things, in short, locked in view within a 3D world? Maybe its not so 3D? and if you play this.
For a relaxing, take your mind off everything game, this is the best! It’s especially fun if you want to introduce your girlfriend into the world of video games. It’s simple but complex in its nuances.
This is only the third AC game I have played, and the second I have enjoyed. I played the original back in the day, and loved it. I tried out City Folk but could not get into it for some reason. With the Nintendo Selects release, I decided to try out this one. As addicting as the first. I make time to play everyday, shake trees, check in with my neighbors, and make sure I don’t miss out on any exclusive furniture. I’m a little disappointed in the HHA area, just because I don’t really have any friends that play, so I don’t have any houses to visit, which I feel also limits my exposure to new furniture. Overall, pretty fun, even for us adults.
My kids are nearly 8 and 6 and I’m always looking for a game that we can play together and all talk about. We’ve completed Mario Odyssey and have nearly all finished Zelda: Breath of the Wild so I thought I’d give this game a try. I liked some of the older versions. This is about what you’d expect from an Animal Crossing game. It’s slower paced and low stress, unlike what we’ve been playing.I’m a finance guy so I’m obsessed with paying off my home loan. The kids just want to collect stuff for their house, fruit, fish and bugs. The great part of the game is that you can do whatever you want. I haven’t gotten into online play, and we’ve only been playing a few weeks, but there’s always something to look forward to, whether it be the next size house, the next neighbor moving in, planting new fruit, flowers, an event in town, etc. My only complaint is that after one of us plays for 45 minutes or so, that doesn’t leave too much for the others to do that day. One person can get all the fossils and most of the fruit pretty quickly, then the others have to wait until tomorrow. If only I can get my son to stop using his axe, maybe we’d have more fruit to pick!
I could see how the game would be fun for others. You go to a new town that you are the mayor of, and you basically get to develop it. I usually pick up a copy, play it for 10 hours ish, and then get bored. It’s a lot of fun getting to do the quests, but becomes a bit repetitive too quickly.

I purchased this for my grandchildren who asked for it for Christmas. Obviously, I can’t give any rating, but I can tell you that both the 11 and the 14 year old boys who requested the game, love it but then again, remember to think of yourself as 11 and/or 14. Hope this is of some benefit to you….they love it.

I got this game for my birthday on launch day when it was released a few years ago. And I had fun completing the museum, fixing up a house, getting a perfect town and doing all the holiday events. My favorite part of the game is pushing villagers into pitfalls and taking pictures.I bought each of my children their own copy, because only the first one to town gets to be Mayor. And there won’t be any fishing/bug catching together without an separate copy. It’s very relaxing and my youngest at 7, had no problem reading or playing this game.I bought this copy for my daughter to give to her friend for her friend’s birthday, since the friend had saved up enough for her on 2DS. The game was a hit with both the friend and her mom, and all the kids played together for hours.It is a great game for the family to play together and you don’t need internet to play in each other’s town.

I already had two copies since the game first released, but I just ordered two more since it’s cheaper with Nintendo Selects now! And since I have Prime, I got both copies for $15.99 each and release date delivery. Honestly probably should have only gotten one more copy… but the Prime price was too tempting. I think that deal is over now though, sorry. (For a casual player, you definitely do NOT need more than one copy of this game. I’m just a bit obsessed).Anyway, I love this game to death. If my house were burning down and I could only grab one thing, it would be my 3ds pouch. All because of this game. Or technically, my FOUR copies of this game.I played ACGC when I was a kid, then played ACWW, then got this game (ACNL) when it released in 2013. It was my first year in college and it really made me feel like I had real [animal] friends who were excited to hang out with me and talk to me and send me gifts. I’m the type of player who isn’t afraid to time travel in game, so I never ran out of things to do. I could play this game all day and night. In fact, I probably have! My 3DS activity log says I’ve played this game for 984 hours, but that’s only the activity log of my main copy. My second copy only has 280 hours on it. Probably because that’s just my Cycling Town. For each copy of this game, I make a different themed town.I really love how peaceful this game is compared to others. I’ve played competitive games and FPS games before. Sure they can be fun, but they always e.
