I got this game for my birthday on launch day when it was released a few years ago. And I had fun completing the museum, fixing up a house, getting a perfect town and doing all the holiday events. My favorite part of the game is pushing villagers into pitfalls and taking pictures.I bought each of my children their own copy, because only the first one to town gets to be Mayor. And there won’t be any fishing/bug catching together without an separate copy. It’s very relaxing and my youngest at 7, had no problem reading or playing this game.I bought this copy for my daughter to give to her friend for her friend’s birthday, since the friend had saved up enough for her on 2DS. The game was a hit with both the friend and her mom, and all the kids played together for hours.It is a great game for the family to play together and you don’t need internet to play in each other’s town.

I already had two copies since the game first released, but I just ordered two more since it’s cheaper with Nintendo Selects now! And since I have Prime, I got both copies for $15.99 each and release date delivery. Honestly probably should have only gotten one more copy… but the Prime price was too tempting. I think that deal is over now though, sorry. (For a casual player, you definitely do NOT need more than one copy of this game. I’m just a bit obsessed).Anyway, I love this game to death. If my house were burning down and I could only grab one thing, it would be my 3ds pouch. All because of this game. Or technically, my FOUR copies of this game.I played ACGC when I was a kid, then played ACWW, then got this game (ACNL) when it released in 2013. It was my first year in college and it really made me feel like I had real [animal] friends who were excited to hang out with me and talk to me and send me gifts. I’m the type of player who isn’t afraid to time travel in game, so I never ran out of things to do. I could play this game all day and night. In fact, I probably have! My 3DS activity log says I’ve played this game for 984 hours, but that’s only the activity log of my main copy. My second copy only has 280 hours on it. Probably because that’s just my Cycling Town. For each copy of this game, I make a different themed town.I really love how peaceful this game is compared to others. I’ve played competitive games and FPS games before. Sure they can be fun, but they always e.
I cannot begin to explain how amazing this game is. It’s less of a game and more of an experience. It’s the most relaxing game you will ever play.
Came quickly and it worked perfectly. This game is so fun and so addicting. It’s gotten me through many a long plane flight. :) I highly recommend this game for your 3DS library.
My 12yo absolutely loves this! He’s received & purchased a few different games over the past 2 weeks but plays this one the most & is excited to show people his house.

This is the current pinnacle of Animal Crossing games. But it came out in 2012 so most people who like Animal Crossing have already played it. But if you’re thinking about getting Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer and you haven’t played this, GET THIS INSTEAD! It’s soo much better!In animal crossing games you move into a new town with people-like animals. You’re have a house, but you have to work off the value of it and then pay for expansions. You get to decorate your house, buy clothes, design clothes, help your neighbors, hunt for bugs, look for fossils, catch fish, and just hang out. You don’t have to do anything, but you can do anything you want. And if you have friends with 3DS systems and the game, you can visit their town too.The biggest addition to New Leaf is that you are the mayor. So you have more control to the design and look of your town than ever before. And you can pass ordinances but you have to choose from 4 options. But just like the rest of the game, you can choose to follow your mayor duties or ignore it. This is very much the kind of game that you can do whatever you want and ignore whatever you want.There are 4 saves so you can have four different people using the same cartridge to have separate houses in the same town. But only the first player to start the game gets to be mayor. Everyone else can play the game, but they’re only villagers.It’s a very creative game with no violence. There’s a lot of commercialism in that it’s a game about stuff, but.

I really enjoyed it. It’s a casual experience and a good game to relax and play. You pretty much just collect items, build up your house, and interact with the other characters in town. My niece likes it too.

I didn’t like the game in the beginning, but now I love it :).My previous thoughts before I purchased this game:I never understood why this game was continuously a top-rated/highly rated game. I had never played Animal Crossing before. Just looking at it, the art style didn’t appeal to me, the description never got my attention, and all the recommendations still didn’t convince me. It was really the art style that I just didn’t like. I don’t like chibi-looking games, which 3DS really has no shortage of… I don’t know why. It just doesn’t appeal to me.Why I purchased this game:It became a Nintendo Selects. That piqued my interest. It must really be a good game. I just had to try it myself. It was only $19.99 and because I pre-ordered, it was 20% off from that.The first time I played Animal Crossing: New Leaf:10 minutes into the game, I already wanted to turn it off. The voices annoyed me. At first impression, it seemed like those build-your-town game. I already knew those kinds of games are surprisingly addictive: you plant stuff, harvest stuff, get money from selling harvested stuff, buy stuff, build stuff, design stuff, plant some more stuff, and repeat. So, I suspected that was probably why many people love Animal Crossing. Anyways, 5 more minutes later, I turned it off and set it aside. I was completely uninterested.Why I gave it a second chance:There was nothing to do one day, so my wife.
