Brian C. Brackney –
Final Fantasy has been around for a very long time. There has been many gamers young and old that have played these games and enjoyed them. If you been around on the original nes you probably played Final Fantasy. It was a hit for Square Enix and kept them a going. What has changed in this game is the graphics and the use of a magic point system. If you remember the original Final Fantasy you didn’t get magic points but how many times you could use a particular level for spells. That has completely been redone and now the magic point system has been instated. If you haven’t played this game it is a awesome game. I would recommend buying a psp for it. It is that good. What better than playing Final Fantasy but a Final Fantasy game you can take anywhere you want. The story line could be done better but this was made a long time ago. It does have a few extra dungeons that was brought in and some video clips on some parts. If you are like me you will probably buy this game because you want to get all the Final Fantasy games. If you love role playing games then you should pick up this classic. It is that good.

Mr. Austin R. Lathrop –
I had been told to not expect much from this game, but it is much more fun that most people review it for. I have never played the origional ps1 version, and so as a fan of the final fantasy series (7 is the best) it’s great to be able to play the early games with modern graphics. Don’t expect this to be as well done as today’s rpg’s and especiall not as good as a final fantasy today, but its fun in it’s own right

Son loves it
Joel Andrews –
If you owned a NES back in the day, you will like the updated graphics and cut scenes, while the gameplay remains the same as you remember, a nice classic to own!
Pacharapon –

I have always been an XBOX gamer and payed little attention to PS games until I played FF12 at a friends house, then I felt the need to try more final fantasy games. I started with the original FF1, I didn’t expect much at all out of this game and found hours of entertainment. My one major gripe is it took me a while to figure out how to bring the map up b/c it wasn’t a mapped control, its hold O down and hit select by the way. Anyways you are the four light warriors, you can choose from several character types a warrior, monk, thief, red mage, white mage, and black mage. You can also use any combination. And it is your duty to save the world from four fiends earth, fire, water, and air. This game is a turn based RPG classic remade its not up to par with modern games however its a very amusing game just the same. Another thing that I should warn you about, there are tons of random attacks which can make wandering a pain if your lost. But as you progress in the game there becomes a way to avoid them entirely so don’t loose heart. Good luck and enjoy.

If you are like me, and you didn’t become a hardcore Final Fantasy fanatic until VII came along, this is a great way to catch up on a classic title in the series. If you’ve already played the original, well, aside from revamped graphics and sound, there’s not many surprises.
