I actually really enjoy this game! I love turn base strategy, on top of that its not a top view strategy, it’s in a 3rd person view. I highly recommend this game! Oh and if your a prime member the game discounts out to be $19.97.

This game is super cool! Whoever came up with the idea to have Abraham Lincoln lead the fight against aliens in a video game is a genius – a mad genius. The gameplay is pretty fun and unique for a turn-based game, and the overall story and premise is really enjoyable. The steampunk style world and art is really well executed, which helped me really buy into the entire game’s concept. The mix of characters from across different literature, teaming together, was a pretty awesome element, I finally feel vindicated for being the only person in school to have enjoyed reading The Red Badge of Courage (that’s right, Henry Fleming is in this game!). Of course, as a Fire Emblem fan, the Amiibo compatibility absolutely sealed the deal for me to love this game, and I had a lot of fun playing as Lucina, Robin, Marth, and Ike as well. Overall, this game is really cool – perhaps a bit quirky – but really cool!

Got this for my son for his birthday, he’s very happy.

    Terrible game

It’s alright. I got it for $9 so I wasn’t expecting a masterpiece. It got old quickly, and it made me feel like I was just doing the same things over and over again with little progress.

If you’re not careful you may spend hours running around the cartoony, steam-punk environments blasting aliens! The controls took me a like 20 minutes to really get comfortable with but once I did I had no problem scanning the field for enemies and prizes. Compared to a lot of games I’ve played the 3D looks especially good as the speech bubbles and boxes seem to be floating right in front of you. While I was considering this game I wish someone could have described the style of the game to me, so let me do it for you. The game’s mechanics are somewhat similar XCOM. Movement and shooting come from the same gauge, so you can take some steps then fire your weapon. This game does allow you to undo certain things, like if you run too far you can back up and refill your movement/gun gauge. But if you move then shoot, you cannot step backwards to refill your gauge. Instead of being able to see a large field of view like in XCOM, you are limited to the eyesight of your soldiers, thus losing the advantage of seeing a lot of the map and adding some challenge. The only problem I have was not even with the game. There was a mishap when this was shipped; somewhere along its journey the packaging got very damaged and couldn’t be scanned. The mail-person had to take the package back to the post office once I took the game out so she had proof she delivered it! The game itself and its box were fine but the package had black streaks as if it was partially run over or something! Maybe this isn’t.
