  1. Carl

Really great game! I like that you can play it as original Tsuro which is simple enough to play with a young child. Or you can add the monsters and it really livens up games between 2 players. The monsters add a bit of pressure and randomness to it which can be fun. I’d say my wife and I play it 50/50 in the two options.Note: the monster mechanics are a bit complex at first because of multiple dice rolls and movement order. It might help to watch a quick video on Youtube if you’re having trouble puzzling it out. After you play it once or twice, it’s easy to do.

  2. Badger

I love Tsuro, and Tsuro of the Seas does not disappoint. The rules are a little hard to grasp at first, but then you notice that they are quite simple. You can even play the original version of the game, all you do is remove the Dragons and Dice and use the ships.Does play in 20-40 mins as advertised, mostly varies on how new you are to the game and how many players there are. With 3 it takes anywhere from 15-25 minutes to finish a game if everyone knows the rules.

  3. KelleyMom

This game is a little more complicated than the original Tsuro especially after you add the expansion pack with cannons. The written directions are a little confusing and I’m a visual person anyhow so I looked up instructions on YouTube. After you play it once, it’s pretty easy to master. The kids love it. Great family strategy game.

  4. Miles

I have Truro as well and this is a delightful version that adds a bit more unpredictability to the mix. There is still mainly strategy involved as you place tiles to get around the board without falling off but the dragons in this game make things quite exciting and force you to sometimes alter plans and worry about more than just staying in your own space. it is competitive without being mean, it’s good easy to learn fun that everyone can enjoy. It’s quick to set up and clean up and can be played in half an hour easily.

  5. az_ras

We found the process of placing and moving the dragons on the board to be a bit complex for kids to follow- so we just place them on the board using the initial placement process in the instructions and leave them there for the rest of the game. It still makes for a very fun game!

  6. GMBarry

We have the Tsuro game and fell in love with this version with the monsters and the expansions. I will say that my younger daughter prefers the Original over this one.Always enjoyable when brought to Game Night

  7. Ben

Easy to learn and fun to play! The dragon movement is a little confusing but for the most part its an easy and fun game. It is also a 2-8 player game with is great for parties!

  8. Rue23

I’ve actually been shopping around looking for this game for a few weeks after my sister-in-law introduced me to it. It’s an awesome puzzle style game. You use the grid pattern on the board to lay out a sea route (using puzzle pieces); the goal of the game is to keep your ship from running off the edge of the board, while trying to sabotage the other players and lead them off the edge of the map. This game is a blast! Highly recommend it. And it shipped quickly through retrolio and arrived in perfect condition.

  9. C. Pabon

I like the game a lot. It looses one star because the instructions on how to play could be written better. As for game design I think the grid numbers on the Board should both have been darker colors. After these hurdles it was a lot of fun and a game I would play again.

  10. Kaylen Elizabeth

This is a fun game, especially if you have a large group (up to 8 players) and if you’re looking for something fast! You can play a lot of games in a short amount of time, so people aren’t sitting out for too long. The quality is great. The game we bought was missing one of the ships, but we contacted the company and they quickly shipped us the piece we were missing.Great customer service and a great game!
