So cool. So much fun. 32 tracks. No controller. No dance pad. Great way to get off the couch.Watched a demo of this game.Bought Xbox 360 with Kinect the next day. This game was so hard to find in stores — I tried Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, Toys R Us, and even Old Navy.I ended up ordering from retrolio, and it arrived early. Thanks, retrolio! This is one generation beyond the existing dance video games on the market.

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. I’ve been wanting a dance game for myself so this was a good way to try one out. The music selection was a bit iffy. It would be great if the selection was as big as a guitar hero game. While watching my 13 yo nephew, I found the dance moves to be easy to pick up and easy to interpret. Personally, I would never go to the club dancing that way, but hey, it gets people moving. It’s a game, and it’s fun. If you can keep that in mind, then you will enjoy this.

Okay, so I bought Dance Central to play as a workout after playing it with my boyfriend’s 7 year old sister. It is a ridiculously fun game; it is also a great work out. The kinect is very precise, it sees you dancing and scores in a fair way, (You actually have to dance!) Not like some of the wii dance games that you can get a perfect score by just moving the controller around. You HAVE to move your entire body. That said, I want more songs. You can download songs, but as of right now the downloadable content is very limited, and I didn’t like any of the songs enough to pay for them. The songs that come with the game are a decent selection over a couple genres, but after a few weeks, I am starting to get tired of p-p-p-poker face…(Okay, maybe not, because this song is the most fun) but the other songs, especially the songs that weren’t really great songs to me in the first place are getting old.

When I saw the E3 trailer and demo, I knew this one going to be game that would totally rock with the Kinect sensor. Now having played the game, I must say it has been one impressive game. It may be little indimating at first but give it try and work your moves then it gets totally fun.Sometimes the Kinect sensor might not pick the person movement accurately can become furstrating, quick fix check your lighting in your room. The slighty darker room, more accuracy.I would reccommend this game whoever wants have fun on your own and show off or play with bunch of friends and rock the house.Thumbs up to Harmonix for making such stylish game!

I had high expectations when I bought this. My family has had a great time with the Wii dancing games, and after getting an XBOX with Kinect for Christmas, we were excited about this game in particular. The song selection is pretty strong, though I had trouble finding a song I liked. The scanning is pretty accurate, though we have a couch behind the area where the player stands, so if there are feet on the floor it creates an issue. This is a quirk to our setup, so I’m not taking anything away from the game.My 9-year old and 4-year-old have a blast playing this, and my wife and I have a good time with the dance battles. We bought the version with the points card, so we’ll probably be downloading a couple of extra tracks.Anyway, this game is awesome and is the best title we’ve found for the Kinect so far. If you don’t have this, get it. You will not be disappointed with your purchase.Opted for next day shipping, and honestly for $10 it was totally worth it. Got it in the evening and we played it until Midnight. Good times!

Bought the Kinect as a family item with the some additional games – Kinect Sports, Joy Ride, and this Dance Central. We’ve played all of them including the Adventures game it came with since we got it open Christmas Eve. I’ve found that we all keep coming back to the Dance Central game as the best “challenge your abilities” game. We like all of the games, but this one really makes you work at trying your best to do it right. I do NOT listen to dance music, hip hop, that type of thing but I have to admit some of that is better for dancing than most any other type of music anyway. None of us are dancers and my sons are both grown young adults but they are the ones that wanted this one for us to play together. We recognize that we may look silly, but it is FUN and I get to have that fun with my 18 and 21 year old sons!! All of the games we bought are a workout except the Joyride, but this one uses all of my muscles and I can feel it! We are not lazy people either – we ride horses and swim all summer but winter has been a slow time – now we get to have the best time exercising to dance without getting completely worn out right away like the sports games do.You DO need to have plenty of room and get that control unit at least 2.5 off the ground for it to see your feet all the way up to your head well or it ends up having to tilt too much up at you and won’t get your feet well so your moves aren’t accurate on the screen. My boys have both played the Wii versions of this kind o.

This is my favorite kinect game. For a person like me who HATES organized exercise, this is the perfect game! I play for hours and it never feels like jumping jacks or sumo squats :-P I like everything about it (even the songs I had never heard before :-) )I did take away:-1/2 star for the freestyle mode. I would prefer to continue dancing straight through the song while I am “on a roll”…but my 12-year-old likes this feature and jumps in from of sensor everytime…while I catch my breath :-( .-1/2 star because I would like to see a “random” feature where the songs can be randomly selected to provide an “element of surprise” and mix it up a little.-Nothing for this because the game IS RATED TEEN, but worth mentioning for those who don’t know – I agree with another reviewer that some of the content (songs, comments, and a few dances) may not be appropriate for younger children, even though the songs are all radio edits. If you are anything like me though, I cringe at alot of what is played on the radio anyway, so that is not saying much! We are living in an age where dolls are dressed like hookers and video games are all about killing SOMETHING, so I am not surprised at this. Each parent needs to make their own call.Other than those three minor things, this is a GREAT game and I NEVER play video games. If you like it as much as I do, I can see how the downloadable content is a must because you will beat the game in no time. But honestly, “re-doing” the routines (easy, medium,.

this game is basic but super fun, a definite family favorite. i some times use it for cross training when i need to mix it up or when it’s too cold to go for a run. it’s a great work out too. my whole family likes this game ages 40 on down to 8. i also like that with the exception of a few scantily clad characters (which you can choose not to be), it’s not over-sexed like most of the dance games out there. big bonus in my book.

My husband gave me Xbox Kinect for Christmas and this was one of the first games I purchased. I am in love! We have played Just Dance games on the Wii, but the Xbox runs circles around those games.I truly feel this monitors and catches my every move. There is absolutely no way to cheat playing this game. And now when I hear any f the songs that are on this game on the radio, I’m very tempted to do the moves that I have learned in this game.I also love that with each level you pass, new moves are introduced with each one. I just wish the moves weren’t repetive. Its not horribly bad, but would prefer to see it eliminated when moving up the levels.
