This game is awesome. Even my 20 months old kid love watching us play. Sometimes, she even want me to carry her while playing. Not recommended to do that though. Also, my kid hijacks my kinect games so make sure no one is between you and the camera. Anyway, overall it’s fast to sense the moves, and great music to play with. The moves is easy enough for me and I can just dive right into performing and don’t have to learn the steps. The only comment that I have is the duel section. It would be great to have both players to play side-by-side instead of taking turns. It doesn’t have violence material so that I don’t have to worry about my kid to learn from. Great party game, great family game. Definitely recommend to buy and keep this game. Also, you can buy more music that you like, which I haven’t done so yet. Overall, Awesome.

Dance central for Kinect is the best game for the system that has come to the light, up to now. It is even a good fitness center. For sure, it will make you sweat and laugh. You stand in front of the sensor, and try to follow the steps the dancer on the screen is performing. It can sense every move you make, almost flawlessly, and then it gives feedback in an easy way to understand. The steps are initially easy to follow, but get harder and harder, as you progress thrugh the game. It’s fun tho perform and even more fun to watch, when your partners are dancing very good and you get amazed, or when they are doing really bad, which is even more funny. The songs are very rythmical and even if they are not of your taste, I’m pretty sure, you’ll find some that you won’t dislike, and some that might like you a lot. There’s music for every one in the game. I haven’t downloaded any content yet, but I’m sure that the downloadable content is as good as what you get in the box.If you want to get the best from kinect (up to now), then this is the game to buy and enjoy. I highly recommend it.

Dance central has a TON of potential! I love the game itself, but there just aren’t enough songs that I happen to like on there. I was really hoping for some more current songs that you don’t have to spend extra money to get. The newly released downloadable content is awesome and I suspect it will push this game from four stars to five for me, but I didn’t really want to have to buy more songs. Kinect Sports released five new mini-games FREE for download. I just wish dance central would have done the same. There were seriously only three songs that it came with that I actually enjoy dancing to. Also, some of the moves are used in several songs, so if you’re not good at that one move it kinda sucks. But, overall, I still really like this game, just not as much as Kinect Sports.

My wife wanted Dance Central when I got a kinect and kinect sports. I reluctantly bought it thinking she would never play it, and boy I was wrong. She loves this game, and I have come to enjoy it myself. It is probably the most fun and best designed game for kinect so far. It has none of the quirky menu issues that the other games and kinect console itself does. When actually in a game it seems to register your dance moves perfectly. On the easier settings it lets you get away with not matching the on-screen prompts exactly, but on hard it is unforgiving. Lot of fun and a great work out.

When I first got my Kinect in November, this game was at the bottom of my priorities list because I didn’t want to look stupid trying to dance. After reading the reviews on this site and on IGN.com, I decided to try it out. After playing this game, I was immediately addicted. This is now my favorite game on the Kinect (out of 4). I also own Kinect Sports, Adventures, and Your Shape:FE, which rated well and are very good games in their own ways. One of the best things to mention about this game is that it’s a huge hit at parties. I brought this to a close friend’s family get-together on Christmas Eve and, though only 2 people could dance battle at once, everyone was having a great time and eager to jump in and try it out. The same thing happened when I played with my close relatives on Christmas Day. And then AGAIN on New Year’s because they begged me to bring it with me. Most recently, Sunday night, one of my good friends, who is a PS fan, asked me to bring it over so he and his family could check it out. At first they were skeptical, thinking that there is no way this game could be better than Just Dance 2. After playing, however, the entire family was sold on this game. They said Dance Central is WAY better than Just Dance and there is no comparison. Furthermore, my PS-loving friend told me that the 360 with Kinect is going to be his next big purchase. I highly recommend this game. Great if you are playing alone or playing with friends/family EVEN IF you can’t.

I’ve had this game for a couple of weeks now. I loved it when I tried it out at first but I haven’t had a lot of extra time to get into it. Yesterday was Thanksgiving so I went over to my fathers house along with my other family members and kids. I already convinced my Dad to get the Kinect and this was one of the games he had. After dinner, EVERYBODY was stuck on this game. I have never heard so many, “My Turn” and “I’m Next!” in my life. By the end of the night, both my sisters and my future brother in law were convinced in getting a Kinect and this game to go with it. This is just 100%, good fun and I strongly believe that if you stick with it you will end up a pretty good dancer at the end.I have two left feet but I honestly think this game is helping me get a little rhythm going and over time I actually think it will help me out considering how accurate it is in tracking your motion. If you are off at all, your limb on screen will be highlighted in red to show that you need to adjust yourself to match the action on screen. In comparison, I’ve been playing DDR all summer to help me lose weight(which it did help me lose 50lbs, thank you very much) but you will not be taking the steps you use on DDR to any club unless you want to be pointed and laughed at, lol. I would be very impressed if I seen some people use a lot of the moves found in this game.As for songs, I believe there is about 30. That might not sound like a lot compared to something like Guitar Hero of.

Pros:Does everything it says it does.Great song library from a variety of different time periods.Excellent variety of dance styles.Easy to learn / difficult to master. This thing can really teach you to dance! (at least a little.)Cons:(Very minor cons. I love this game.)Have at least 7-8′ of space from your TV.Not very robust past core gameplay, very little online.Largelly single player. Not quite the pick up and play party game Rock Band is.

This game is awesome. My 4 and 5yr old kids love it and so do I, as an exercise routine. It is an excellent way to get me up and moving. The only thing that lags a bit is the fact that you dance one person at a time and not next to each other like in part 3. Otherwise, excellent game!

I’ve never been a good dancer, by any stretch of the imagination. I have no coordination, and even a few dance classes in preparation for those obligatory family events has done me little good. After playing half dozen or so rounds of Dance Central, even I was able to beat my sister, who is a good dancer, with a score in the 700K range a few dance-offs.Very fun game, and great range of popular music. The only negative is that sometimes the available menu choices are a little confusing, especially when you want to switch back to Break It Down mode.Great game to get you up off the couch.

I was a little nervous at first being that the kinect is still new, and I did not know how well the sensor would pick up movement. However, I did some research and finally bought this game. It is so insanely awesome! The sensor sometimes picks up too much dance movement (which is better than not picking up enough movement). The songs are great. It has some new age and old school (very tasteful and upbeat!). The dance moves do not repeat themselves too much. The dances are actually unique to each song, which is also another plus. It even has a workout dance mode, that allows you to see how long you have been dancing and the amount of calories you burned (just by putting in your weight). The difficulty levels are perfect for each song. Easy being easy, and hard being hard. You will never find a beginning easy song with hard dance moves. However, the harder the difficulty the more body parts are required to get a move down right (for example: an easy song will only require legs and arms to be in the somewhat correct form, however hard will require that the arms, legs, foot placement, head movement etc are all in the correct form, if not you will get a low score!) Another plus: It doesn’t matter if you fail each step in the dance, you will still get to complete the song (it won’t boo you out if you suck!) It also has an option to leave out the picture taking in case your camera shy! It is a perfect game all the way around. It has exceeded all my expectations and works great! I wo.
