I purchased this on a whim and just hoped that I would like it. When I took it out of the box and started using it, I LOVED IT! Of course, I’m not very coordinated, so that adds a little extra challenge. The only thing I wish I would have realized was that you can’t stand on the mat while you are making choices on the screen. I thought I broke the remote because the choices were whizzing by…I had my foot on the right arrow on the mat… Lots of fun and a great workout!

Bought this for our grandson and he just loves it.

It needs to come with instructions. I wanted this for working out and at first, I could not figure out how to get it to play songs continuously in work out mode. I needed to set songs in course music and not go into free music mode. You need to take the first lesson in groove arena to unlock some stuff even though the lesson only teaches you to step on the up arrow when you see an up arrow on the screen.I don’t like how it only has pieces of the songs instead of the whole song.I use the dance pad on a rug. It slips a lot but has held up well over the last month of use.I like using it and I think keeps workouts interesting. I think it was worth the $67 I paid for it.There are gimmicks turned on by default but I turned them off because they were too distracting for me. This is my first ddr game purchase so there was a lot I needed to learn and get used to. The games also end early if you do a bad job and lose lots of points. That can be turned off so it plays to the end of the song.

My niece had this game and it looked like great exercise, so I got it.Yes, it’s great for getting exercise while having a good time. It was really hard to figure out how to maneuver around the screens at first. Reading the manual only helped if you had played with the program first. It was almost too hard to figure out, and I was thinking I had wasted my money. Also, the dancing is a lot harder than you think it would be. But after using the program for a while, I have gotten accustomed to it and really enjoy it, getting over an hour of exercise at a time. It’s great that the dances aren’t easy, otherwise you would get through all of them in a short time and have no use for the program anymore. The challenging nature of the program is what gets you to keep coming back for more.

The different game modes made just wanting to start dancing a bit confusing but once we got the hang of it, the game’s a blast. Beginner level is easy enough for my 5 year old nephew to keep up and advanced is absolutely brutal.

This game is so much fun. When we first got it I was addicted and couldn’t stop. I played so much I unlocked all the songs within 3 days. The game is still a lot of fun on the free play mode and I still only can do the basic level, not the advanced or expert. It is also a great workout. The only think I don’t like about it is that I wish you could add more songs to it. I can see how it would get tiring doing the same songs after a while, but it will take a while to get tired of it because there are a lot of songs and different levels to each of them.Great game! I have recommended it to all of my friends that have the Wii.

The overall impression of this product is good, however, the timing of the music and the dance steps could have been a little better coordinated in my opinion. I was used to the PS2 DDR Extreme 2 prior to using this one for Wii and feel the PS2 version is better coordinated and flows better overall. I do like the ease of use and feel this Wii product is excellent for those that want to learn or get better at the moves. There are easy to follow instructions built right into the game itself in the “Groove Arena” area. Also, there is an option for hand use to increase the fun and very good for exercising the brain as well. It is a good way to keep your mind sharp while getting fit at the same time. It’s easy to play for an hour or more without ever feeling like work. The dance mat that came with the game is not so great. I definitely need to find a better mat. This one doesn’t stay in place, although, at first it did until about a month of use and now I think it is possibly too worn. I would not recommend the mat that could with the game.

I have purchased several “active” wii games to go along with more traditional exercising. I like to do different things on different days so as to not get bored and have EA Active (love it) Gold’s Cardio (love it) My Fitness Coach (hate it) Wii Fit (love it) Outdoor Sports (like it) Wii Sports (love it) and Wii Sports Resort (like it). I have wanted to buy a DDR to kick the exercise up a notch and when retrolio had it on a Gold Box I was so happy I bought one and another for a gift. It arrived today and I have played it for at least 1-1.5 hours totay and I LOVE it! I am in my upper 40’s and have 60 pounds to lose and this is a great program to add to my “wii fitness” regiment. Even on the very easiest programs it is challenging and after a few songs I start getting pretty sweaty! The last time I had my young’uns to Chuck E Cheese there were a couple of teenagers doing the DDR machine there and they were awesome. I plan to dance and dance and dance my a$$ off and next time I go there I hope to have lost all my weight and get on the DDR machine there and put on a show of my own, ha! The songs are ok, but even the ones I don’t know or really like that much don’t bother me because I just think the “dancing” keeps me entertained. The mat works really well, very responsive, the game is easy to use, I highly recommend this as a very fun game!

I love the Dance Dance Revolution series and this title fits in with the rest. The songs are not current, so if you are looking to rock out and jump around to techno versions of current songs, you need to look somewhere else. The only semi-current song is Umbrella by Rhianna. But the songs on here are recognizable, they are pretty classic disco/techno songs that work just fine with what the game is for.The mat leaves somethings to be desired, but then you can’t really expect it to be like the big bulky metal ones at arcades. It does move becuase it is just a sheet of plastic, oh well, you deal with it.I am glad I bought this game and I am having a great time with it.

Worked great! The dance mat was sent separately from the game itself but arrived close together
