The sequel to what has become one of my favorite trilogies. I made it a good ways into the game. I’m on the snow planet, but PS4 came out and I haven’t looked back since. Still, this game is always in the back of mind as something that needs to be put down at some point. Excellent visuals and gameplay. Despite what the naysayers believe, the microtransactions are hidden away and do nothing to diminish the available content or fun factor of this title.

I love this game, but I do have some gripes (which bring it from 5 stars down to 4). First, I loved Dead Space 1 & 2 and just love the whole Dead Space universe, so I knew that even with all the changes to Dead Space 3 that I would love the game regardless. This game does however change the focus of the first 2 games in the series from Survival Horror to Action-focused horror. Because of this, I feel like Dead Space 3 lost alot of it’s charm that was found in the first 2 games. The game was generally never scary, partly because the atmosphere wasn’t as tight, helpless, and isolated as the previous 2 games, but even more so, you are armed to the teeth in this game and feel like no matter what the game throws your way, you can easily destroy it in seconds with your overpowered arsenal. In the first 2 games, you have weaker weapons that forced you to really focus on dismemberment. In this game, your weapons are so strong that dismemberment is mostly irrelevant.A HUGE GRIPE I have is that the first released DLC is an add-on to the ending of the story, so to get the full story on what happens at the end of the game, you have to fork up another $10 just to see the end of the game. Ridiculous. The DLC was actually pretty good, but it feels like we’re being nickel’d and dimed for content that should have been included in the final product. All that being said, I still love this game and I would recommend any fans of the first 2 games to pick this up.

This is my favorite Dead Space. The storyline is exciting, the game is long and full of emotions, In the story you have to visit a lot of different places and that’s what i like the most: Ships, Space, a Planet, an alien land, and more.

Dead Space 3 is a fantastic game. If u like SCIFI stuff, then you’ll love this game. It was what I expected. It connected to the first 2 games in story, with the proper upgrades that a newer game should have. Overall a great game!!!

Dead Space 3 was fun and scary. Not as scary as the first but none the less still a fun game. Graphics are nice and the sound effects are creepy. Play with the lights off.

The best one so far. It’s definitely worth a buy.

The story, animation and game play of Dead Space are Great! The fact that they added customizable weapons(new to Dead Space) adds to the re-play value. If you want to you can have your weapon shoot incendiary , electrical or acidic rounds and watch the Necromorphs melt. If you never played Dead Space before, Run, don’t walk to buy the first Dead Space. You could probably get it for $10. You will then run and buy Dead Space 2 prob same price. You will not regret purchasing any of the Dead Space games!

Some people are worried that this game wont produce the fear that was so prominent in the first (and to a a lesser extent the second) Dead Space games. I think its still fairly jump-inducing, but even more so if you turn the background music off in the pause menu. That way, there is absolutely no orchestral foreshadowing that a necromorph is about to pop out of the vent behind you. Still a very fun game, but perhaps its a little less Dead Space then usual.

I really liked this game, note the 5 star review, however, I am inclined to agree that it may not be for all Dead Space (DS) fans.If you’re the kind of player that really cares about the story line and the characters and has enjoyed the transition from the original DS to DS2, then you’ll love DS3 as the story line is continued in a rather nice way (gives you a lot more information on the markers and their origin) and the game is very enjoyable to play as it has lovely scenery (with a lot of details that really look nice on 1080p) and is action pact! There are also some interesting puzzles (but they aren’t very challenging unless you factor in the action bits of killing necromorphs whilst trying to solve them…). Another aspect that I came to love was the new and improved bench, which allows you to craft a whole new range of weapons (but it is confusing and complex at first, as the task of finding the perfect weapon can seem daunting amongst the many combinations available). However, developers seemed to have gone in the direction of action over survival horror (tendency that we observed from the original DS to DS2). So if you’re expecting (or hoping) DS3 to go back to its survival horror roots and scare you witless, you’ll likely be very disappointed. Sure, there are a few scare bits and the atmosphere does keep you on your toes, but it’s nothing compared to the original DS. That being said is what made the game more enjoyable to me… In the original DS I dreaded every time.
