i got it two weeks ago , he hasn’t been able to beat it yet , thank you Jesus , he has gone thru several games since christmass , a day or two , then needs more , this one will keep me from having to spend more for a litle while

I like that it’s 3rd person, since I often get motion sickness from 1st person games. It’s actually frightening and it’s hard to scare me with this sort of thing, so that’s a plus. The graphics are pretty good and the controls are intuitive. The story is a bit predictable, but the creep factor alone makes up for it.

This is an awesome, classic Xbox 360 game everyone should give a try!

I’ve never done a review for a product but after finally beating the game last night, I felt it was necessary. Dead Space was the first game I played after I bought my Xbox 360. I was always a Nintendo fanboy who only played Super Mario games, so when I bought my Xbox my first thoughts were “Uh… okay, so what do I play?” I spent days browsing for games that would be good to break-in my Xbox, introduce me to the new environment and controls of the Xbox, as well as the price not being too high (I mean, what if I didn’t like it?) In the end, I settled with Dead Space and Bioshock; both platinum hits and fitting for a college student’s wallet. I had to eeny-meeny-miny-moe to decide which game I’d play first and, as you’d expect, it was Dead Space. If I had to choose one word in the entire English dictionary to describe this game, it would be “wow,” and even then that’s an understatement. Anyways for this review, I’ll split it into four sections: story, controls, graphics, and sound.Story//Dead Space’s story is probably one of the most interesting Sci-Fi stories I’ve heard. At first, you’re given limited knowledge about what is going on. All you know is that you’re on some ship called the USG Ishimura and most, if not all, of the passengers have been killed or turned into some sort of alien monster thing. As we dwell more in the game, we discover that those “things” are called Necromorphs, an alien species from the planet Aegis 7 that uses dead human bodies as hosts. Dead Space.

I love this game! Actually, I played the sequel all the way through first, and because I loved it so much then I decided to go back and play the original. For those that have not played either, you are missing out. The first one is great, and the sequel simply made it that much better. Worth every penny of it for both games! I recommend playing the campaign alone, in the dark, with the sound up, for best results for immersing yourself into the nightmarish story of Dead Space. It’s bloody, it’s gory, and it’s straight up good action survival horror fun! And it has excellent replay value because when you start your second time through then you get to keep all of your upgraded suits and weapons to continue upgrading them further, making slaughtering Necromorphs that much more fun. Not your typical zombies since these look more like aliens, though make no mistake that at one point they were human and alive. And shooting them in the head is not the most effective way to kill them, either. No, you must strategically dismember them, limb from limb, using your mining engineering tools as improvised weapons. Tools that were originally designed to cut through minerals and rock, that would obviously have no problem slicing through Necromorph flesh. Tools like the Plasma Cutter, Flamethrower, Ripper (which is simply an industrial saw with a circular blade that is suspended in mid-air a few feet in front of you held in place by a mini gravitational tether as it spins around slicing throug.
