item requested by my son; appreciate pre-owned option at more affordable cost. He’s very pleased with the game. Order handled very well – arrived one day before Christmas so was really glad that it came in time to be a stocking stuffer.
One of favorite games every since the fist edition even on the psp this game is always great and great sound track!
i like how they took a different approach wit this series there’s a great storyline ur a independent rapper fighting for artists to get them to sign to ur label but i dont like how slow the combat system its like there movements are in slow motion during gameplay using music as a weapon i find it useful and unique even tho ppl complain about it my other problem is the lack of rappers that made this game roster very limited on selection unlike the the previous def jam titles but this is a game that’s still worth checking out
When I first played this game for about 15 minutes i was bored because I just thought that the whole game would be about fighting while listening to music. I was not pleased with that thought because it wasn’t like the fight moves were the best. So i left out of the room because I was very disappointed with the game. My brother kept playing the game and it was absoluetely great!!! It is 12:27 am. We started playing the game around 9 pm. The only reason I am on the computer writing this review is becuase I am looking for cheat codes on the internet and because I wanted everyone to know how great this game is on PS3!!! I am so glad I didn’t take it out and go trade it in. So to everyone who gave it a bad review, play it again abd read up on it so you will be more familiar with what you need to do to advance to more levels. I must admit that at first the moves seems boring but that’s because you have to learn how to “scratch” the songs and you must practice. The better you are at DJing then the quicker you will be able to defeat your opponent. The music is your ultimate weapon. I would highly recommend this game and it is very creative. I would have never thought of anything like this! BUY THE GAME!!!

This game was good! But much more needed to be added . Longer Storyline and more characters because the last series was better than this!More outfits, more lasting moments, more everthing!
Didn’t come with the original case, on the disc in a sleeve. Works Excellent and a lot of fun!!

Ok first of Def Jam Icon for the ps3 is one of those rare games that is starting to show the true power of the console . The ps3 version vs the xbox 360 does not differ that much at all . Just all depends what system you would rather have it on . The graphics in the game are some of the best i have seen in a game . The backgrounds alone are verry well done , and brings the player more into the game . The audio seem’s to be outstanding also and really matches up with this game. The control’s are not to hard to pickup and learn what does what . Most any gamer can just pop this game in and learn things fast. The control info with the game will help you out verry well if you wish to read the info before playing . I have been a hardcore gamer most of my life and can say honestly for whatever system you have the ps3 or the xbox360 you wont regret the version you buy. Also there is a great amount of replay time in this , to see all the secrets you can find. Also a cool feature to the game is being able to design your own character to play with in the game . You can spend a good amount of time building your character . There are some nice features that help make a great character for you to play! I would have rated this game higher then 5 stars if there was a higher rateing to go!One of the best games out there for xbox 360 or the playstation 3 and is well worth getting !

Are you seriously about to tell me this game is whack, are you on crack? This game is if not one of the best fightin games you’ll play in your life. I own the PS3 version and played the 360 version and they are the same. You probaly think its rap and crap fights, no, there are unlimited combos, a new DJ turntable feature, cool controls, the enviroments are interactive and never get boring. The build your label single player is addictin and is very challengin as you progress. Im a hard core gamer and Im tellin you this game is a must buy.
