  1. Ned Flanders

This was a classic in its time. It showed a whole new genre.

  2. The Last and First Time

Here is one of those games that people either love for the sake of loving, love for the sake of being Deus Ex or hate with a fiery passion for the same reasons. One of the biggest draws(and flaws) is the world and time this game is set in. As a direct sequel(flash 20 odd years) to the original Deus Ex we follow Alex D. in a world that(much like fall-out) follows EVERY ending of the previous game, something rarely ever seamlessly integrated but done exceptionally well in this game.Story-Wise this one isn’t as Machina or Freudian heavy, you’re not really asked to understand big philosophy and while there is a touch of differing factions in the game they pretty much explain themselves, you don’t need to go crawling through emails and books(E-Books, go figure.) to figure out what one faction will REALLY do or why someone wants to do something specific. There is also the draw that you can either play the original and appreciate some of the subtle touches or not and not really miss anything, in fact, there tends to be more AHA moments for those who play this first, though, obviously this will spoil much of the original if you intend to play.Pros:Graphics: For it’s time the moving lips and body movements were actually well done, even stacked up to now this game looks pretty good. It’s a pretty dark setting(even if the story isn’t as dark as it could be) and that’s not an easy sell for a graphics intense game.Story: Despite being quite a bit simpler there is still that feel of really b.

Can’t go wrong with that price. First played this years ago. Game isn’t as fast paced as human revolution but it plays similarly. Can be really difficult at times though.

  5. Church Hetfield

Excellent game! Not as sleek as the newest Deus Ex and showing its age a bit but it is very surprising for original Xbox! Up there with KOTOR.

I know many say DX:IW is not as good as the original, sorry It is and has some improvements. It’s a good follow up. In fact, some of the features in this game made it into Human Revolution. Some of the game play feels simular as well. It’s a great game and a great story. Try it.

The rumors were true: Deus Ex was the greatest game ever to grace the video/computer game market. Any attempt to follow up with a sequel would be an uphill battle. In a way, Eidos succeeded. Invisible War is slick sci-fi action RPG. The graphics are a tremendous update from the original, and the levels and characters offer greater interaction. The weapons are even more customizable, allowing you to turn a pistol into a silent glass-shattering tranq gun, or refit your Uzi to spew explosive shrapnel and use half the ammo. However, while some aspects of the gameplay have been enhanced, others have diminished. Most notable is the storyline. While Deus Ex put forth a clear struggle of establishment vs. freedom fighters vs. secret society, Invisible War basically has you choose sides between 4 power-hungry factions, with oddly similar ideologies. There is no "for the good of the people" or "preserve the world" faction – in the end, you will be helping to put a single person or group of people in charge of the world. However, if you go into this game looking for just an enjoyable romp, and not something to top the original, you will be in for a treat. Recommended for action enthusiasts and RPG fans.

This is not Halo. If you want to run around and kill things, this is not the game for you. Deus Ex is game that requires planning, stealth and patience. Combat is often brief and deadly, unless you have positioned yourself to surprise your opponents. The sound and graphics are very good, but many areas are dark. The Biomods which give you certain advantages in the game end up being of little use due to their high energy drain and a lack of energy cells (plus, unlike clips in the guns, the energy cells do not automatically load when they run out).My biggest complaint has to be the combat. I don’t mind combat being dangerous, but if they are going to make it that way, it should be true for both sides. When I sneek up behind a guard and pop him in the back of the head, that should be it. He shouldn’t be spinning around and firing at me with his SMG. Other than that, I’ve been having a good time with the game.

Ion Storm has come a long way since the John Romero days. No longer the house of delays and duds, the company now produces some of the finest games in the business. Critically acclaimed Deus Ex and Anachronox allowed the group to grab, and hold, a respected position amongst their peers. And now Deus Ex 2, and Thief 3, will allow the teams to prove that they weren’t just lucky. The verdict: These kids can amaze.Deus Ex 2 takes place years after the first; it features new characters, new plotlines, new weapons, and old locales. But don’t be surprised to see a few familiar faces in your return visit to post-modern Earth. The story is just as convoluted as it was before, blending various conspiracy theories with quasi-philosophical gameplay choices. From the outset to the finish, you’re presented with numerous choices that affect the way the game takes shape.Gameplay has remained excellent, but some may gripe about missing RPG elements that existed in the first. The ammunition system is now unified, so you can pick a weapon and stick with it. Controls have been "consolefied", making it easier to perform jumps and shoot. The dual-stick control scheme is perfect.Running parallel to the standard set by its gameplay, Deus Ex 2’s graphical and aural effects deserve a mention. High-count polygon models covered with wicked textures have been lit to high heaven. In Deus Ex 2, besides looking super-cool, the lighting actually plays an important part with the game. You can guage en.
