Although not a polished game by any means it gets that rpg fix well quenched. Graphics look great (to me) and the story is supprisingly good. You could play this for hours on end if you go in not already hating it like most people do BEFORE they try out a game.

This is probably the best RPG I’ve played in several years. I’ll just list various aspects:Pros:*Decent length – I probably put in 70-80 hours and enjoyed them all (for the most part).*Lots of quests – Many many quests, and more importantly most of them felt like legitimate quests as opposed to the typical courier type quest so common in most games.*Good graphics – Some of the other reviews say that the graphic were bad but everything looked very nice to me, but I’m not very picky in this regard.*Good story – I actually enjoyed the story to this game. Many modern games seem as if the story is an afterthought, while here you can tell that it was the driving factor.*Item Selection – Many different items in the game to choose from with which to outfit your character. It was very similar to Diablo in this regard.Cons:*”Puzzle” difficulty – I don’t mind puzzles/hidden things when done right, but towards the end I was getting seriously tired of trying to figure things out. In most places it’s well done, but other times you’ll need to find a small button in a large room that blends in to the background. Something like that just doesn’t belong in a game due to how difficult is to see something like that. It also didn’t help that they changed how they handled these things at various points. Sometimes key items would sparkle, other times glow, and sometimes they do nothing except sit there and blend in to the background, forcing you to scour a room to find that one minor thing y.

I cannot do a better review than has already been written here (you guys are great – so detailed!). So, let me just add my voice to the chorus – this is a great game, filled with tons of things to do! The sheer amount of things to discover and quests to undertake is impressive. They seem to have worked out all the problems from the earlier release. I have only had one glitch, where someone did not appear/act as they were supposed to, and this was fixed by simply saving and then reloading the game. I really like the art style, and the story. Some complain about the ending of the core game, but I found it refreshing to get something other than the same old thing. I will not elaborate and spoil it! I have been playing RPGs since the days of pencil and paper D&D, and this game is going in my top 10 for sure. If the action part of the game is too challenging for you (some of my friends had problems with the big fight to take the dragon tower), just adjust the difficulty down to get you past that point. It is worth it.

Divinity 2 is an overall fun game to play. The open world environment is brightly colored and beautiful. Being a fan of anything related to Dragons this game really appealed to me and probably would anybody with similar interests. Haven’t got to play as much as i would like but so far what i have played has been an enjoyable experiance.

My favorite RPG of all time was, and still is, the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I loved the unique landscapes, the static leveling system, & the unique loot that you could find anywhere. I weigh nearly ever RPG I play against the feeling I had when I first played Morrowind – I was completely engrossed in the environment of that game & have never found a game that could rival it. While Divinity 2: DKS is not on the same level as Morrowind for me, it does have enough great features that it is a complete steal at $40.While Divinity II is billed in some of these reviews as an “open world” or “sand box” RPG, it really isn’t in my mind. This is really one of my only criticisms of the game (and the reason it received an overall 4* score from me instead of a 5*). Taking Dragon form is phenomenal, one of the better experiences I have had in an RPG, but my enthusiasm for it is somewhat limited due to this not being a truly “open world” game. All I could think of when flying as a dragon was “Why can’t I fly any higher?” or “Why can’t I fly over there?” I’m a Dragon, after all, I should be able to travel wherever I choose to go. Don’t get me wrong, though the game isn’t as open as Morrowind or Oblivion, it is more open than a game like Dragon Age or Fable – so your ability to roam freely is pretty good, but it feels just a bit to linear for me to give it that 5th star. The world you explore, though somewhat restrained, is very colorful and bright, and while the graphics aren’.

I am an avid gamer of the 360 and I have beaten most of the new, critically acclaimed titles on the market. Mass Effect, Dead Space, Assassin’s Creed, Fallout, Bioshock, Tales of Vesperia, The Lost Odyessy, Oblivion, FFX13…. and so on. I have no idea how this game has failed to get so little hype. I honestly wasn’t expecting that much because I haven’t heard anything about it other than reading retrolio reviews. I am only about halfway through the game, but this is by far the most engrossing game I have played since FFX. This world is designed so beautifully and the gameplay mechanics are absolutely perfect. The RPG elements are done perfectly. I have never been so lost in a video game world in all my life, and I’m a lot older now and am not the kid I was when I first picked up the playstation. Other than the perfect gameplay mechanics and rpg elements, this is one of the best soundtracks I have had the pleasure to hear. FFX was so engrossing to me because of its soundtrack and game play, same with this title. I’m going to wait until I finish both discs and see how the story and development play out, but I am actually already considering this to be the best game I have ever played… seriously. This is a classic rpg which perfectly implements newer additions we’ve seen to the the genre. Also, the voice-acting is Superb throughout the game which really helps the experience. The graphics aren’t mind-blowing, but they’re very, very good… better than oblivion and on par with fal.

This game is a very good rpg that crosses mechanics between dragon age and skyrim. graphics are nice, the content is massive and im glad that my character can turn into a dragon. im a little disappointed by the plot because i was expecting to fight the main antagonist Damian at the end of the game but you dont get the chance to do so.

So I went into Divinity 2 hopeful since it’s the type of sandboxy RPG I like. I wasn’t disappointed by the beginning. Tons of sidequests, no respawns, and a crazy hard end fight (hint.. jump around and take your time). The way that the game was separated into 3 acts with very little crossover was fine by me. The game basically pushes you to whatever level they want you to be at with the XP you get for killing things higher level than you.The expansion was awful until the end however. It was a typical run around delivering things in one city type of thing. You don’t get dragon form until the very end, where it chooses your dragon UI for you and skills. The 4 is generous but the main game was a 5 and the expac was a 2 so I rounded up.

This game is so much fun I compare it favorably Oblivion, Fallout, and Fable. I have spent over 100 hours just playing the first game. It so much depth and variety that I never get bored. There are three flaws I have to mention. The first is minor – some of the screens take too long to load. A medium flaw is the mapping system – it’s difficult to track the paths to achieving the side quests. The major flaw is that no one has published a coherent strategy guide for this great game. Some of the puzzles and quests in the game are quite difficult, so I have spent hours searching the web for solutions. Still, I will never sell this game but keep playing time and again.

I’ve been watching videos for this game for quite some time, and it wasn’t in my local Gamestop so I never bothered to find it until I was curious enough to see how much it would be online. I found this shop and bought it and received my game not 4 days later-and it shipped just a day before, I’m more than pleased. It even came with all of the original packaging and the soundtrack cd. A great buy.Now the game itself I haven’t played more than 30 minutes of but if you’re a fan of Knights of the Old Republic and Oblivion and Fable on Xbox you should not overlook this game. I would give a more detailed analysis but there are far better reviews out there and I’ve got tot get back to playing! :)
