I was itching to play this so bad that i forgot to write a review.. i bought this a month ago and almost beat it… i realized i need to put the controller down and spread the good word and say TWO THUMBS UP!!! Brand new still in its original wrapper… Plays like a charm.. only took 5 days to show up… it showed up 8 A.M. the morning of the estimated date of arrival! 5 STARS!!!
A great story with many character to interact with. The gameplay is one thing that surely is different than anyother rpg game. It’s a must get game for classic rpg gamers.

This is a fun game, it easily rivals the final fantasy series games for the original Playstation. The combat system is a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it it becomes second nature. The storyline is pretty involving and the game will keep you interested through all four of its discs. All in all I’m glad I got this it shall be played for years to come.
Sure, the graphics aren’t stellar and the voice actors only get a few lines (not that they sound that great), but this game is a classic. An off day with your timing may lead to frustration and death, but it’s worth it. You can pick favorites and not be in trouble for leaving a character out, which I always like. Nothing like getting 20 hours into a game to find out you’re doomed all because of one character. Story-line is good, gameplay is repetitive without being tiresome, and it’s a decent length.

My review for this purchase is nothing but positive. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. The fact that everything was still sealed, none of the discs were floating around in the case, and the case itself was not damaged sweetens the deal. I am very grateful for the great service.

The problem with this game is that it doesn’t work as the ‘Final Fantasy Killer’ (I like this game, and have enjoyed it more than any of the three Final Fantasy games I have played, those being the original for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Final Fantasy IX, and Final Fantasy X) unless you enjoy the additions and dragoon transformations.The game is all about style. I absolutely LOVE gaining and performing each character’s addition, building their dragoon levels, transforming, watching the mini scenes where they use their magic, and trying to get a ‘perfect’ on the Dragoon additions.Combine that with characters I like, a story that keeps me wanting to see what happens next, and a focus on the absolute POWER of the dragoons and winglies, and I have a game that I consider the greatest Role-playing game in existence. . . to me.Tales of Symphonia is probably ‘technically’ better. It has more replay value, more things to unlock, and more magic attacks. There is more to explore in general, and it is translated much better.But if it were three years since I had played both games, and I was given the option, I would choose the Legend of Dragoon, because every part of this game is just plain FUN.So, in short:If you enjoy timing your button presses to make combos, transforming into impressive-looking dragoons, seeing a few truly astonishing cut-scenes, and seeing a story that IS interesting, (people say that it isn’t original, but I have NEVER seen a story like this, ever, anywhere.

I LOVE THIS GAME! I had played the demo as a child and remembered it; finding it here on retrolio was amazing! The graphics are not that great if compared to games now, but if compared to ps1 games then they are to be expected. The storyline is pretty interesting, and you can make a few choices throughout the game when talking to Shana or other characters in your party. If this game meant something special to you as a child, then you will still love it as an adult!The game suffered no damage in shipping and came quickly.

The Legend of Dragoon is easily one of the best games to come out of the PS1 era. With a compelling storyline, interesting characters, and a truly unique battle system as well as a beautiful soundtrack and top of the line (for its time) CG, this is an underappreciated gem that any RPG lover should play at least once in their life.

I’m 19 years old and I used to play this game when I was 12. I had sold it and I regretted it ever since. Being older I can now see more flaws in the game. For example, the dialogue can be a bit childish, and the storyline a bit cheesy at times. However, I bought it online for the memories, and I didn’t think twice.The battle system is a good challenge with the addition system. The background art is beautiful. Pretty good storyline cut scene CG art. I would consider the graphics at times to be better then FF7.A memorable game that I’d rate 5 pout of 5 for fun.
