Be patient through the slow pacing, this game is great

  2. Colin Dupree

The game is well done and looks great in 3D also. This is my first DQ game and I am rather impressed. Be aware this game is extremely long, some people love this, some people hate it.The job system in the game can give you a minor variety of character uniqueness, but it is a bit bland since every character can get any class. With this though, each character does have unique stats that suits it better to specific jobs. What gets me the most is the saving mechanics. I understand the specified points for RPGs, but when there is a quick save option…it should work anywhere…but it doesn’t. I hate leaving my 3ds in sleep mode for the majority of the day or night because it refuses to let me save in the dungeon, but this is how it is.

  3. ReymundoMoore

This is by far the best game on the 3DS. Absolutely beautiful game. I felt like a kid at Christmas when this came in the mail. I think that says alot about this charm this series has. The graphics are completely reworked and look fantastic on the 3DS.

  4. Ted Gleason

I have been waiting to play this game for a long time, ever since I heard it was being remade and had been released in Japan several years ago. I missed it when it came out on Playstation in 2000, and we eager to catch up on a chapter in the Dragon Quest series I had not had a chance to enjoy. This game is great, it starts slowly, gradually ramping up to allow players to get a feel for the tiny world, then expands into a sizable adventure.I can’t wait for the 3ds remake of VIII, and hope Square Enix localizes and releases X and XI as well.

  5. Adam

This is the only Dragon Quest game I’ve played a significant amount besides the original for the NES. It’s pretty fun. The controls are great. Battles are neither slow nor boring. The graphics are great. Sound is good, but I don’t like the music. No problem; you can turn the music volume down while maintaining the sound effect volume. The only downside is that it’s a little too easy. I’ve never lost a battle in this game. I get the feeling this game is aimed at kids.

  6. Segata Sanshiro

If you like RPGs then get this game. Also supporting game tells Square we want Dragon Quest XI in the west for PS4/3DS and NX. Be warned tho this is a game you invest time into,a lot of time. Has the biggest script in the series. Worth it tho.

  7. Jed Cooper

Product arrived in great condition, not a thing wrong with it

  8. David Knight

Excellent game. Vast in Scope and Vision. Its a beautiful remake of a classic game. If, like one of the reviewers below, you cant stand handhelds, then you should look into the playstation one version. Then maybe the game would be more enjoyable for a person like this if they were more knowledgable about said game. Enjoy at your own pace via the 3ds and sleep mode or large chucks via ps1 on the big screen. Play it your way! Hats off to all those who know a good game when they see it!

  9. Keith G.

Satisfied with shipping, love the game

  10. Travis Cook

Mostly a good game. I am just annoyed that SquareEnix thinks that women are objects and that their stomachs are a show-off item. I am a guy that likes modesty. It’s only in certain vocations that Maribel’s stomach is shown, but it would be better if none of them did! Women are not objects to be lusted after. They are human beings and deserve respect just like men!
