I love this series. The pace is excellent. The character is strong yet humble and arrogant in the right amounts. This is high fantasy grounded in reality.

book as previous is quite huge. if you are looking for good sequel with focus on MC’s military adventures go on and buy it. I have to admit, something was missing, something what i can’t name it, but overall i am not disappointed. One last warning, don’t expect from MC any weakens, death walks behind him and sometimes hold him by his very hand

Love the story, hate his math. I’ve got figure that his estimates for the armies have to be off by one or two significant digits. No way in hell armies in the millions can live off the country like he had them doing! Aside from that, a hell of a fun read!

I really love the larger than life MC. While it has a complete arc, this book reads like a compilation of stories or even fables. The interior illustrations really add to the experience. I got a kick out of the war council’s astonishment at their general’s increasingly audacious plans. The stories were engrossing. I did have difficulty with the scenes where Hadjar and Nero were wading into large scale battles. My ability to imagine the scenes wasn’t up to the task and in some places actions and results seemed inconsistent. As far as I could tell the translation and editing were excellent. I read about half of this volume on the royal road website. Great reading. I think it adds a lot to the genre.Score: 8.4 out of 10

Litrpgs have a reputation for being poorly written and edited, as well as having simple and genric plotlines. This series (or at least what has be translated so far) is quite literally a work of art. I have never before been so entranced by a book this genre. I can’t wait for the next in the series to be released, and strongly suggest this to any avid litrpg readers.
