Not going to lie, it was a little slow at times, but after reading it in its entirety, I believe those were necessary moments of reflection that I think sometimes is missing from wuxia. Really look forward to more

I liked the wuxia litrpg fun going… Just a certain witch’s illustrations didn’t really add anything.
Anthony B –
This series is developing nicely and keeps getting better. This takes litrpg in a little different direction but to a whole new level. I’m definitely impressed and looking forward to the next book!!

Book 2 continues what the author started, and did well, in book 1. The book is a translation, but is refreshingly free of almost all of the translation issues I have seen with other authors. They are doing a great job on that. The book is robust, with satisfying action, and character development. There is a very small amount of stat screens that occur in the book, reminiscent of LitRPG books, but they don’t distract at all. The original origin of the MC is referenced only once, and that is in passing, so we are still left guessing how that relates to the main story and how the neuronet comes into play. In all I found this to be a very good successor to book 1 and look forward to book 3.

Finished the entire book in a day. As always, Hadjar’s adventures are thrilling and I can’t wait for the next book.
Jon Svenson –
An excellent series until book 5, which was a let down for me.5/5*

This book is so amazing I can’t put down but now I have to wait for book three it’s like I’m being punished
Martin Solciansky –
This is definitely better than book 1 because Hadjar is finally kicking ass (book one is still great but.. there is not much ass-kicking on the *epic* scale). This book is more wuxia-like than the previous one. But book 1 had to set up the stage – so to speak – so it is expected. We have an ancient master’s long lost tomb and trials. We have some new powerful characters introduced. Our fearless hero is no longer a virgin. Our world view is widened yet again (not because of the virginity involved). And the last third of the book is an epic fight in the LOTR (movie not the book, ‘cos the book was never intended to be funny) style. Sure, people are dying but this is wuxia so it is again.. expected. A lot of people dies. A lot.And last but not least.. we have one-liners. And the general never asks the same thing three times.But. Like always, we have some funny wuxia mechanics. The speed of sound is definitely faster than the speed of light and one has always time to shout the name of the technique even when confronted with the speed of light attacks. And some light travels faster than the other light, of course. This is wuxia. The book does not change the POV and author is fond of comments in the parentheses – which are almost always funny. And sometimes I am happy for a pun to be explained because I would have missed it otherwise.I absolutely love this series. I have just started book 3. And I am happy.
