Everything was great. Plays nice. And all stuff was there to start playing. So it was perfect.
I received the PS2 I ordered quickly and with all the cables wrapped up nice and neat. Worked just fine, minor cosmetic scratches but that is to be expected and didn’t bother me at all.
Tied for best system of all time next to the SNES for me, although the NES was my first console and has tons of absolute masterpieces on it as well. The backwards compatibility is what I really love about the PS2 because many of my favorite games of all time are on the PS1 and it’s nice to be able to play games from both the awesome PS2 library as well as older games.
I played a lot of PS games at that time. I considered it the best, easiest to use.Just sent an unopened console and probably 30 games to a 3rd cousin little 8 year old, good kid, smart. He can learn on this and buy the latest trend later.
My PS2 came relatively quickly, and in decent condition. My only gripe was that it was FILTHY and I spent about an hour cleaning it with rubbing alcohol and water. My other problem was the video cord was cracked and only sort of worked with some issues in sound. I replaced it with a cord off retrolio that cost me a dollar and I’m all set. Guess this is what happens when you receive a used item, but it works, and you can’t beat $50. Just know that your rolling the dice with used products, so far I have been lucky with only a few speed bumps.
So I decided to reminisce about the old days and buy a ps2, and expecting it to be expensive, I found one for $50. I purchased it from a shop -Somethingtodo, and he had amazing customer service . He responded back to his emails in the same day, if not in a matter of a couple hours. I also love the ps2 that I got, and it works great .
Product worked as soon as I plugged it in. Playing the games I played 10 years ago really brought back memories.
love this system. They should have never gotten rid of backward compatability with the ps1 and 2 for the later consolse
Kids were so thrilled, I am happy!!!!!! This plug is not easy to find though, has two parts, we did not know, so if you buy without the plug included, be sure to get the right one, or, you will be frustrated.

Bought this for 129 NEW from GFMedia (GameFunk)…. came brand new sealed in the box, still packed new and still had the Playstation tape on the box. It works perfectly fine just like my old fatty (which still works, I just wanted a backup, so the fatty’s in the closet). Plays all my games, DVD’s, even blue backed PS2 games I have which (according to someone else’s link to games that dont’ work on the Slim) werent’ supposed to work. It works perfect, doesn’t overheat….. ya’ know that’s what happens when you buy something NEW…. instead of the dimwits that bought used and expected it to last long then posted 1-star reviews.That list I mentioned said Legend of Dragoon (a PS1 game) wasn’t supposed to work on a Slim. I’d like to paste a post I put elsewhere to clear that up:"I just got a Slim PS2 off retrolio. Put my bulky first model that still works in the closet as a backup. But here’s the weird thing with Legend of Dragoon. It only works (on EITHER version of the PS2) on composite cable (yellow/red/white). Found this out cause I also switched to new PS2 component cables (the 5 cable cords, red/gree/blue for video) for a better picture on a newer type TV (I have a sony Bravia). The game was all frakked up on Component…… but it was fine on composite. WEird huh? I’ve never before seen a game that only works on one type of cable.I mention this cause a review on the Slim console on retrolio gave a link to a list of ~20 games that wont’ work on a PS2 Slim. The PS2 arrived very promptly and works excellent! The only problem that I was not counting on is that the resolution looks so terrible on my HDTV and I know it never looked that blurry years ago when I payed my games! I guess I did not research that far to realize this unfortunate happening. I guess since PS is so ……! as to not make their newer systems backwards compatible and nor are the games I want to play like Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliances and the Legacy of Kain on offered on their PS-Now either and anyhow that is only available with a PS4 (why not on PS3???) Anyhow…. looks like I need to hunt down an old retro TV set!

It got here quicker than expected, came with a controller all the cords and 4 random games. It was supposed to come with a ps2 memory card, but i got a ps1 instead.

Bought this to replace the original PS2 that just not reading dics anymore. Didn’t really care about the new design though. It’s much lighter and smaller than the original PS2. Because it’s so light it tends to move around when using the controller

I was an Xbox/Xbox360 fan but I had heared great things about the Sony PS2 specially about the PS2 SLIM. I love this Console it is small but tough as a nail. It plays my PS1, PS2, DVDs abd my BLUERAY MOVIES WITHOUT MISSING A BEAT. I could not be happier with my purchase.

My 6 year old had dropped his old PS2 trying to move it from one room to another. Even though he has every console out, he was very upset bc he has so many PS2 games and he always seem to go back to this console. I refused to buy him a brand new one out of fear that the same thing may happen again. I ordered this one, it arrived quickly, well packaged, and it great condition! Most importantly my son couldn’t thank me enough, I earned a lot of points that day.
