quirky challenging game. Fun for all ages. Lots of characters to choose for your baseball team. Slow and fast pitch. Final game is always the most challenging. Who wants an easy baseball game? This game surely will test your gaming skills

Not many people know about this game. The graphics aren’t the best, but this game is really fun! One of those hidden gem games.

This game is probably one of my all time favorites, the characters are fun and unique, it doesn’t take it’s self to seriously. It’s just a simple play and have fun kind of game. I wish it could be remade and updated if it only kept the original characteristics. Zelda the witch and her broom, Diablo with his club, artie and his pick ax, and sid with his neon green mohawk. The floating characters, the pitchers who spin like a tornado, the guys who hop like a frog and add on to that. This game is simply fun. You have fast pitch and slow pitch and 5 fields (would love more),

This is one of my favorite games ever. I can remember so many long nights as a kid playing this game. I love everything about it. The fields are really great. Each field has its own details – they don’t just look different, like colors or signs, or whatever, but they actually allow you to do different things. Like trees past the home run line that you have to navigate around, or areas on the land that slow you down. There are cliffs and other natural features too. Classic. The players are all unique as well. There are some really off the wall characters like zelda the witch or diablo the devil-boy. Zelda uses a broomstick for a bat, diablo uses a pointy club. Great details all around.I do wish that someone would remake this game, or release a copy of it as a download, if only to preserve the game. NES cartridges are rare enough, and this is a pretty rare game.If you are a video game lover, this one is definitely one you should have in your collection.

I’ve been an avid gamer since high school and after Nintendo continuously updated and outdated their systems from year to year, this game eventually became something I could never play anymore. After a few years of swearing off games, I eventually returned to Playstation thanks to their respect for their customer and their efforts to make their previous consoles games playable on the newer systems. This comes at a price though. Gone, is the games that are just plain guilty time wasting wholesome fun. Nearly every game that is made these days involves war, sports, death, darkness and dread. Games like "Dusty Diamond All-Star Softball" are a thing of the past and it says a lot that every so-often I long to play this game again. It wasn’t complicated. It was a simple and beautiful thing. It was a schoolyard pick-em. There were a group of kids who all had different abilities. Some were fast. Some were slow. Some had great arms. Some had so-so arms. Some had power. Some didn’t. Some were more suited to be catchers and some were more suited to be centerfielders. You picked your team. The computer picked their team and you played a game on your choice of softball field. Simple as that. Fun as could be.GAMEMAKERS of today: Make this game again! Add to it though. Call it "Schoolyard Games", I don’t care. Make it where there are dozens of kids, studs, dorks, goths, nerds, slow, fast. Have you and your friends do a schoolyard pick-em and play games like Softball, Bask.
