Dynasty Warriors Next overall is a pretty good game. The character models are off the chain! ( although some characters take on a different look, Xiahou Dun for one) If you’ve played previous Dynasty Warriors games you will understand the gameplay, although me just button-mashing square and triangle with the additional R has gotten me through every level so far. My problem with the game is the draw distance ( it really is that bad, enemies will pop in ranging from 3 feet away to 10, leaving you very unprepared on getting into huge hordes) and I really didn’t understand how to play the duels with other warriors ( all Duels are in touchscreen form now, and I am just confused) another problem is that some of the touchscreen uses are just stupid, like racing on a horse from point A to B using six-axis controls ( it was decent ). Some things I thought would’ve and could’ve been better is the character creator. Just having a color-scheme grid to change the color of some items would be nice, but instead you are given sets of armor and face pieces which are hit and miss. The story campaign cut-scenes are really good, the visuals are impressive ( besides the textures on the ground and the enviroment sometimes ) and the gameplay is button mashing fun. The campaign sadly is about capturing bases, not like other ones in which yopu traverse a huge map. You get used to it and it’s pretty fun, the campaign will last you awhile. ( I have been playing for like 5 hours and I’ve only completed.
Love the game!! I’ve enjoyed all of the Dynasty Warrior games and now this new edition makes it even better that I can take it to work with me to play. I really hope that they will make another one soon..
Not really one of the best games that I have played but when you want a game where you feel like taking on a whole army and beating the crap out of them. This is the game you should have.
Purchased this game for my daughter and she loved it. I gave it a 4 star rating because its a great game all-around. Amazing graphics, good single player game play and a lot of different mods to play including online multiplayer game play. My daughter has played it for hours and hours and still plays it. I would recommend this game to anyone, but keep in mind it is a fighting game and is rated for teens. I would recommend buying this game through retrolio as they are an amazing company, always have what I’m looking for, great with their shipping and have great customer service. They make buying what you want easy at a great price.

Uses most of the gyro and touch screen system. I love the warriors series and i will continue playing them as they go on.
Generally, the experience with old version in PSP is all the same, just leave alone the so called new mode.
I got “Dynasty Warriors Next” as my first Vita game. I was planning on getting a couple of downloadable games as well, and seeing as I was going to be flying on some long flights for vacation, I kind of wanted a fairly mindless button masher to pass the time.”Next” fit that bill to a “T.”It’s got great graphics and the way it controls is great. I love the way that the developers utilized a lot of the features of the Vita to do things in the games. The sounds are good, but as is typical for a “Dynasty Warriors” game, the English voice acting leaves a bit to be desired.Overall, I had a lot of fun playing the game on the airplane. I could play for an hour or so, then relax for a bit, and then go back to playing.I’ve been a casual “Dynasty Warriors” fan since back in the PS2 days, and I haven’t played one in a while so the changes in this game were relatively fresh to me.However, I don’t think the game does anything that would make someone who does NOT like “DW” games enjoy them. Likewise, if you are a fan of the series, this game does nothing that would turn you off to it.

NEXT has elements of Empires and its base is Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends. NEXT also includes some quick-time elements and has a few other gameplay additions that inject some new blood in the series.The Vita has one of the most impressive launch line-ups I’ve seen and it is easy for a title such as this to be ignored, and that’s understandable considering the saturation of the Dynasty Warriors series, though that shouldn’t discourage you from picking this game up if you enjoy the gameplay these titles deliver. This game is really fun to play. I’ve played this series on PS2, PS3, PSP, and now PSVita. The Vita does this game justice; the graphics look great and I love being able to bring DW to work with me. The only downside is that I don’t know anyone else who has a Vita to play with!

I love that the game came in with good conditions. The only thing is that, there’s no book inside the case, usually there would be a case inside game cases. besides the order taking long to mail to my house, it was worth the wait to me…
