Earthworm Jim changes for Genesis version.Earthworm Jim grunts on the intro/Sega screen while posing. You can also hear a woman screaming when his pants drop. On a side note I always wondered about this scream. Is it actually Earthworm Jim screaming like a woman, or is a woman watching and offended by Earthworm Jim’s dropping pants!Under the options menu a joy pad configuration is available for the Genesis.Every intro screen per stage uses the same song in the Genesis- that being New Junk City- whereas the stage intro screen for the Super NES uses the theme song of whatever level you’re about to play.New Junk City-Poor background with a static sun and green sky, whereas the Super NES has the bigger brighter sun moving behind the mountains as you walk around.Bad metallic/tinny music. Elements of the theme song -such as the main theme itself- aren’t even noticeable in the Genesis, or tucked so far back in the mix you can’t detect it. On the other hand some portions of the song sound groovier (no pun intended!) and more synth-heavy than the Super NES which is cool.Crows hilariously go "Aaaaaaaawk!" much longer compared to the Super NES. It also sounds scratchy and hoarse. You hear a clown sound when you land in the spikes.Additional sound effects for the Genesis such as Earthwom Jim saying "Plasma!" upon picking up the plasma weapon. "Plasma" is said throughout the game every time Earthworm Jim picks up a plasma gun.It sounds scratchy and hoarse the.

Earthworm Jim 2 is a marvelous sequel and a great game to pop in whenever you need a break from Mario or Zelda. There are many different types of levels from adventure levels to swimming and even a hilarious level called Puppy Love in which you must catch a certain amount of puppies in a bag to proceed, if too many puppies splat on the ground the mother morphs into a mutant dog and attacks you! Very off the wall stuff like the first game! A classic.. yes! A great own for those that still have their SNES plugged in and ready!
