This is a really fun game, it also gives some light exercise (just arms pretty much). In some ways that makes it better than the dance games because you don’t need as much room. It can be a little frustrating getting the timing down for the ‘switch cues’ which are the most important cues you have to hit (IMO) since to unlock the mixes you have to get a certain score (easily done) AND hit the ‘switch cue’ when it comes up to unlock the mix. There are some inconsistencies in the interface, in the ‘worlds’ you move your body right or left to scroll the world right or left, but in the ‘overworld’ you move the ‘muse’ (on screen cursor) over right and left arrows to do so, it it can be overly sensitive. In the worlds you also use the ‘muse’ cursor to interact with various objects in the world and because some of those interactions seem to require some fast movement it can be kind of hit-and-miss on the detection, sometimes the muse disappears entirely. Of course this depends in part on room lighting. There are also a LOT of loading waits in the game, which makes it more difficult to spend a quick session with. Once you turn on the xbox 360, let the kinect start up, load the game, have it recognize your profile, get into the game and into a world you have probably spent 5-10 minutes.

We are thoroughly enjoying this game. It’s basically an arm dancing game. First thing to do is switch on Party Mode so you can play whatever song you like. If you are playing by yourself, the tutorial is length and starts out the single player ‘campaign’ which is fun, but unsuitable for impatient small children. The song selection is fun and my kids are getting exposure to classical tunes we don’t normally listen to.Harmonix is a great company and this product was well worth waiting for. It’s too bad it wasn’t ready for XB1 with Kinect launch because it would have been a much more compelling argument for owning the Kinect device. In general, Kinect doesn’t do that well with small children or even impulsive large children because they like to walk in front of the sensor, which often confuses it. If you have little kids, I’d recommend downloading Kinect Party- that is the best Kinect application out there. But if you have a group who can sustain attention for the length of a song and try to follow along the prompts, this is an awesome music game to enjoy. The game is full of wonderful surprises once you figure out what is going on. And by the way, if you are wondering how to get out of the solo mode in the middle of a song, just put your arms by your sides and stop moving, the software will get the picture that you’re done soloing.

This is SO MUCH FUN! I hope Disney continues to make amazing video games like these. What a great story line! AND so much fun to go through!

Very nice. My kids loves it. Awakens their creativity. They play almost everyday. I recommend it

Awesome game; but it could have used more songs included on-disc. DLC seems kind of expensive for what little you can do with it. Sometimes the game does not register movements properly, but that could be due to the Kinect Sensor itself. Still, the game will give you plenty to do as long as you don’t binge on it. Wasn’t particularly a fan of the censored songs; they should have allowed the user to either disable the song completely [it’s not hard to guess what they’re censoring] or play the full, explicit version. This could have also been controlled through the Xbox’s Family Settings easily.
